    Appliance in Motion was dispatched through our home warranty company. The home is a vacation rental with a GE Monogram refrigerator that was freezing everything and wouldn't stay at the correct temperature. He opened the unit and said it was dusty so he dusted it out and left. Before he left I asked if he guaranteed his work since it seemed incredibly suspect to me that the issue was dust. He said he did gurantee his work and would come back out to fix it if needed. So the very next time we had guests in our vacation rental we got a call that the refrigerator was freezing all of their food. I called Appliance in Motion and he refused to make it right because it had been nearly a month since he had been out. NO ONE HAD BEEN IN THE PROPERTY SINCE THEN. It's not like he fixed it and then something else happened. He never correctly diagnosed or repaired it to begin with. I have now had another appliance company out who diagnosed the actual issue immediately but the part is on backorder. If Appliance in Motion knew what they were doing we could have ordered the correct part immediately. Now I have to wait god-knows-how-long for this part and we have guests all month. Appliance in Motion has cost me more than a month of wasted time and now on top of it I have to refund my guests who planned to have Thanksgiving at our home. I would NEVER use this company again. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing and refuse to back up their work.

    Upon arrival to the customer's house the date of service, the customers complaint was that the fridge was freezing their food. Unfortunately lack of maintenance on the refrigerator can greatly affect the operation of the fridge. The condenser on the refrigerator which is supposed to be maintained every 6 months to a year was very very dirty. This condenser is a crucial part to the sealed system operation. ************** thoroughly checked the unit, checked the components on the refrigerator. The refrigerator is cycling on and refrigerator is trying to cool and freeze the food. All components to the refrigerator were activating and operational. To the best of our ability ************** explained to the customer on the circumstances of what a dirty condenser can do. The customer was very understanding at the time. When we come across a refrigerator that's having temperature issues, the condenser is one of the main components we check. Lack of maintenance is one of the leading causes of refrigeration problems. Customer was not aware that they had to clean their condenser, and also had mentioned due to the new knowledge gained they were going to clean their condenser in their non vacation home as well. After cleaning condenser, must give it 24 to 48 hours for the refrigerator to adjust. Unfortunately this being a vacation home customer was not there for a month to figure out if the fridge is working or not. It is out of our control that it is a vacation home, it is out of our control that there was nobody there following days after diagnosis to check on the refrigerator. We explained to the customer we carry a ****** labor guarantee. If the customer allowed us to get her scheduled we would be going back. Unfortunately we were not giving the opportunity to do so. Knowing now that the condenser is clean we would further investigate, on certain problems it's a process of elimination. We do follow through with our guarantees when given the opportunity to do so. We did everything in our power correctly and so did **************, we also wanted to get the customer scheduled and customer refused. When we were on the phone with the customer, instead of getting rescheduled we were getting berated and being threatened with bad reviews. It's unfortunate the experience the customer believes they had. We follow through with every customer, we stand with our technicians and our work. Thank you.
