On 9/20/24 I went into the Shell gas station #102 in Emeryville, CA and the attendant charged me $40.00 (prepay for gas). I went outside to pump my gas, but the pump wouldn't work. I went back inside and the attendant rang me up for $35.00 and said "don't worry, you will be refunded the first charge". I got my bank statement this week and reviewed it and found two charges from Shell on 9/20/24, but no refund of any kind. I am owed $40.00. I went into the gas station today, showed my bank statement and asked for a refund, but the attendant and the manager both argued with me, saying at first I had waited too long for a refund, then they told me my bank statement was too old, then they told me I needed a more current bank statement, and then they told me they don't do refunds.
