            On April of 2022, I purchased a 2017 **** Escape with ****** miles. It was discovered over **** miles of driving that it was dangerous to drive. I brought the car back to the dealer and was advised that front wheel lug nuts were never tightened! I drove off only to expensive the same issue. The second time I was advised of an expensive repair and it was my fault for driving it! Encinitas Ford tried to lie, gloss over, and omit details and had given me no recourse but to pursue the matter with a dealership fraud attorney.

            I waited 14 months from the time I placed my order until it arrived at the dealer on 11/17/2023. Due to the length of time, ****************** issued customers like myself "Price Protection" through program #***** in recogniton of price increases. A Private Offer from FoMoCo was issued via a "certificate" based on FoMoCo Customer Order Verification Process which tied the certificate to offset the price increase to my active order, address, and email. HOWEVER, the discount is given to and administed by the selling dealer. The certificate for $2500 is non-transferable and is for a specific vehicle. When it came time consumate the purchase, Encinitas Fraud said the order tracking system, called *************************, would not allow the redemption in the amount of $2500 but would allow $1900. Having sold my previous truck, I essentially was faced with being without a truck or waste more time trying to find another vehicle. FoMoCo credits Encinitas Fraud with $2500 and leaves it up to them to pass it on to me. FoMoCo **************** said it is out of their hands, it is entirely up to the dealer. Encinitas Fraud engaged in deception and fraud. They owe me $600. Go elsewhere.

            At Encinitas Ford we pride ourselves on advocating on behalf of our customers with **** and doing what is fair and right. **** (The Manufacturer) issues the certificate directly for the customer. As a dealership we have no ability to change the amount. Unfortunately, through no fault of our own their system would not allow us to claim and apply the full $2500 at the time of sale. We spent many hours on the phone attempting to get **** to fix their system so that we could claim the additional $600 and give that to our customer as we had discussed at the time of sale. When we could not get it amended through our normal channels, we went up the chain to the Regional Sales Manager for **** Motor Company. She called our customer directly and explained that as a dealership we had done nothing wrong and were advocating for our customer to try and make things right. At the point when we realized that the amount of time it was taking to fix the situation was taking too long, we issued a check for $600 directly from us.
