My general contractor (who lied to get my business) has a partnership with *****, principal of New Home, and left ***** and his couple of local guys to take care of my complete home remodel. They were completely out of their depth.***** has limited experience and only 2-3 low paid basic handymen guys. They cant comprehend custom elements. Their skills are basic and techniques dated, inefficient, sloppy, dishonest or simply plain stupid. He does not (cannot) supervise subs or check their work. He cant follow a contract. Items that should take hours take days. Tasks that should take days take weeks. And so on. Weeks can go by with little to no progress at all. Communication is a disaster. He spent way too little time at my project, even when supervision was desperately needed. He has a make do, compromise, good enough approach, and he obviously refuses to hire skilled people, cannot properly manage a large project or worksite, and treats the project as if it were a side hobby for occasional effort once his partner has improperly collected more money from me than his work has been worth. Do not go through what I did. These are not decent contractors. They should not be in business.When something is not done, or damage caused, ***** is routinely completely unaware of whats going on at the site. He often just lies, either the supplier screwed up (they didnt), I supposedly changed the spec (I didnt) or someone else caused the damage (they didnt). He even lies after being presented with the physical evidence to the contrary.A project that should have taken 6-9 months (and thats generous) took 18. Leaks, flood, concealed dangerous electrics, damage, mistake after mistake. Failure to supervise subs. Insufficient project management. No respect for my property. And so much was either not done right or needs redoing. Still causing damage and not admitting to it in the final days. They dont learn, and are untrustworthy. Nightmare.
