I am submitting this complaint regarding TaxRise, with whom I contracted in January ************************************************************ with the ***. This agreement, costing $3,200, included assisting with a CP2000 form and reviewing three years of taxes (2021 - 2023) to consolidate debts, reduce penalties, and provide representation. However, TaxRise has consistently failed to fulfill its contractual obligations and has misrepresented my tax liabilities, resulting in significant financial consequences.Issues began with TaxRises engagement to assist with the CP2000 form. Despite multiple inquiries, TaxRise misrepresented the total outstanding taxes, leading to an underfunded debt consolidation loan by nearly $20,000. Only on October 1, 2024months after the contract beganwas I informed that my original CP2000 form submission was incomplete, with no prior guidance from TaxRise on correcting this.Additionally, despite completing Form 2848 to authorize TaxRise to communicate with the **** I received a CP3219A notice from the *** dated April 15, 2024, requiring a response within 90 days. TaxRise failed to respond or notify me of this, missing a critical deadline. My 2023 taxes also remain unfiled, in breach of contractual obligations, leading to further accumulating ************ summarize, TaxRise has breached our agreement as follows:Misrepresentation of Total Tax Liabilities: Provided incorrect tax balance, leading to an underfunded loan.Failure to Address CP2000 and CP3219A Forms: Lack of timely guidance or action on these *** notices, including missing the response deadline for CP3219A.Non-Compliance with Power of Attorney Obligations: Failed to act as my authorized *** representative.Unfiled 2023 Tax Obligations: 2023 taxes remain unfiled, despite expectations in the contract.I am seeking intervention to obtain a full resolution, including a refund of the $3,200 service fee and reimbursement for penalties resulting from TaxRises inaction.
