For reasons that I don't understand, my personal email address has been added to SlickDeals and I receive numerous unwanted emails every day. I have unsubscribed dozens of times, with no success. I have also filed a note with SlickDeals asking that they permanently remove my email address, to no effect. I would like to be permanently removed from their email distribution list.Business response

I looked into it, and your email is showing "Unsubscribed" in our system, which means you should not be receiving any emails at all

Its regrettable that you had this experience of not wanting to see anymore emails from Slickdeals, but were unable to make that happen by unsubscribing.
We see that you've made the request to be removed from the newsletter mailing list, and although it was in the process of taking effect, we've manually reviewed the request and removed you from the list. Please let us know if this did not resolve the issue.

They do not let me unsubscribe from theyre emails!! Ive tried many times and when clicking on unsubscribe it takes you to a complete different page! They sent lots of annoying emails and unsubscribing shouldnt be so difficult!!!!!Business response

slickdeals.com, on their front page 11-20-2022, offered a $10 target giftcard for installing their extension.***************************************************************************************** extension needed to stay installed for 30 days and the $10 gc would be received after another 30 days. I correctly installed the extension on 11-20-2022 thru the promo link. I have NO adblockers nor VPNs.I left it installed for over 60 days. I never received the Target giftcard. I contacted slickdeals with this info and they replied on 2-6-2023 they would send the giftcard. "Please allow our accounting ********* time to process your gift card and a member of our team will notify you when we have done so."A few days later, slickdeals support wrote "Upon further review by our team, we have confirmed you have multiple accounts which has disqualified you from the promotion. As a result, a gift card will not be issued. Your ticket will be closed at this time."I never have had another slickdeals account since opening my account in 07-19-2006.I replied to slickdeals support:On April 22, 2020, I had recommended slickdeals to another person, helped him open his account, and, in 11-2022, recommended this offer to him, and helped him complete it. He is not very web-fluent so I helped him. That DOES not make it my account Slickdeals replied on Feb 7, 2023, 3:47 PM (8 days ago)Our record shows otherwise, and we are unable to issue a gift card. Your ticket will now be closed at this time I asked Slickdeals support to explain, and offered to provide identification of my identity. I contacted the other person I had helped and he offered to supply his identity documentation also. Their only reply was "We will no longer be addressing this issue "I request the $10 Target giftcard as I was informed I would receive on 2-6-2023.Business response

The customer submitted a support ticket on 1/30/23 and the Slickdeals team responded on 2/1/23 informing them that we need to conduct further research. On 2/7/23, we informed the customer that they did not qualify for the Target gift card promotion since they appeared to have multiple Slickdeals accounts. Per the terms of the offer, if we suspect that you are using multiple Slickdeals accounts to participate in the Offer, we reserve the right to immediately disqualify you from the Offer and/or suspend your Slickdeals account(s).
We appreciate the customers truthfulness in providing information on how she helped another Slickdeals user set up an account and install the extension from the same location. Given this customers loyalty and contributions to Slickdeals since 2006 weve made an exception and are issuing the $10 Target gift card.Customer response

Slickdeals offered registered users a $10 Target gift card if they installed the Slickdeals extension and used it for 30 days. ************************************************************************************** I installed the Slickdeals extension directly from the promotion page on 11/20/22 using the red "Add Slickdeals to Chrome" button, and used it for 30 days, as required. However, I did not receive the promised $10 Target gift card. When I reached out to Slickdeals customer service on 12/28/22, I was told that "the extension was not installed via the promotion which has disqualified you from receiving the offer for the Target Gift Card." Slickdeals' response is obviously nonsensical, because, as stated, I installed the extension directly from the promotion page. However, requests for reconsideration have been fruitless. Consequently, I have no choice but to reach out to BBB for assistance.Business response

The customer submitted a support ticket on 12/28/22 and the Slickdeals team responded that same day informing them that they were not eligible since the Slickdeals extension was not installed via the promotional offer link. Our team informed the customer again on 1/4/23 and 1/9/23 that they were ineligible. Additionally, even if the Slickdeals extension had been installed from the promotional link, the customer failed to meet the usage requirements to redeem the offer since they only had 3 days of usage during the 30-day promotional period.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The business' response is not consistent with the terms of the promotion. I installed the extension via the promotional page. Additionally, the terms of the promotion do not contain any minimum usage requirements. The business is attempting to evade the terms of the promotion by making up additional requirements retroactively. The business' conduct in this matter is unethical.

On December 17 I placed an order on **** using the slickdeals extension to receive 5% back on my order. Slickdeals is the only extension I have on my desktop computers browser. I clicked the activate button on the extension it opened a second tab briefly and then that tab closed and then the extension said cashback activated. I proceeded to checkout with my order of $4200.00 and I paid and I took a screenshot of the order complete page with the extension still saying cashback activated.I never received the cashback. I do not even believe they have people actually look because all the replies I receive are just generic responses and none ever reference anything I actually write. They said the transaction was not recorded and that I would not be receiving anything unless they receive a reply from **** saying they get credit.I find this completely unacceptable, they lore you in with promises of cashback and then just deny it. I could have used rakuten on my laptop to place this order and it would have only been 2% but it would have still been over $80 but I trusted slickdeals as they promised $100 since that would have been the *** received on a single order.What gets me is I placed another order then very next day on **** with slickdeals. Did the same thing and it was somehow captured. I am guessing because it was only and order of $150.Here is the order # from my original **** order:Order number: ************** Total: $4,200 The email associated with the slickdeals is same as I put on this complaint but I will paste it below as ************************ I am also attaching the same image I sent to slickdeals showing that the extension showed cashback activated. I do not know what else I could have done. I trusted what I saw. We appreciate this matter being raised to our attention. The complainant has an active and open ticket that our customer support team is working on. The complainant submitted a ticket on 12/20/22 and our team informed them on 12/29/22 that their order did not track in our system, and as a result, they might not be eligible for cashback rewards. We reached out to the merchant to verify the transaction and to confirm whether the order will be attributed to Slickdeals. This was communicated to the complainant, and we are currently awaiting a response from the merchant and will follow up then.Customer response

They contacted me and said that even though I provided a screenshot showing the extension said it was activated (I have more screenshots throughout the whole checkout process) I am not eligible for the money. They offered no explanation to my screenshot showing active they just reply with the same message that **** has no record of the transaction with slickdeals which is a lie. What else could I have done? I used the extension as instructed, I had no ad blockers or other cash back extensions and yet it is still my fault. I have used slickdeals for years and I know they have made a lot of money off me and the hundreds of friends and family I referred through stuff we have bought with their monetized links. There are too many other deal sites that can be used to not have to be taken advantage of after years of loyalty.Business response

We determined that the complainant had an ad blocker in place when they transacted, which is why the data was not captured in our system and the reason it was not attributed to Slickdeals as a valid transaction for cashback. We've decided to make an exception and issue cashback payment to the complainant on account of their loyalty. Our support team is reaching out to the complainant to make sure they know that they need to whitelist both the Slickdeals website and Slickdeals Extension to ensure cashback gets credited to their account for future transactions.Customer response
