Do I have to select a star? Horrible customer experience for a client that has had an account for close to 50 years. Inability to get even the easiest request done. I went to the branch to get a childhood account of mine updated to remove my parents. I brought my folks, in their 80s, so that they could sign off - apparently, this is the only way you can get this type of transaction done. The teller was unable to do it and referred me to a banker. The two bankers, one a manager and the other a person who clearly has no compassion or sense of customer service, had me waiting for 30 minutes plus. She was not with a client and I was the only one waiting for service. When I asked her if she could assist us because my father was uncomfortable with the extended wait (he has multiple health issues), it seemed that this empowered the individual to delay service even further. It seemed like a control and power trip. She was not with a client and continued to do her "after work". The manager was no help. I ended up leaving without getting my transaction complete because I could no longer allow my father to sit there and wait. I called the customer service line and I cannot make the change online and I cannot request a form from the service center. I have to wait for a banker to contact me. At this point, I just want my money. They even make that difficult. I have to go into a branch and get a cashier's check. All over the branch, they have signs on customer service and signs that display the importance of the customer and service. The signs are very ironic. The banker and manager were anything but customer service oriented. I wonder how folks without access to a car or those that are homebound are able to do any banking with this bank. Both of those individuals should be ashamed of themselves and the bank should identify ways to make their processes and procedures more compliant with individuals who have disabilities such as my father.
