After my late sister's remains were received by Fukui, a staff person at Fukui Mortuary entered my late sister's social security number incorrectly ( a "typo" was admitted by Fukui) on the crematorium form, thereby causing a delay in the cremation of my late sister's remains, exact date I do not have, but it was after the Thanksgiving weekend or earlier this month. This issue was resolved; however, another incident occurred on or about December 8, 2022 when Fukui placed my late sister's ashes in the wrong urn, which was a plastic box. Our wishes were to place my sister's ashes in a brass urn, which I believed was paid for prior to picking up my sister's ashes. My niece spoke to a representative from Fukui who, aside from a apology, appeared to be more concerned with making excuses instead of righting this wrong. Eventually, after about 2 hours, we finally received my sister's ashes in a brass urn. Also, I might add that each time we contacted Fukui about about handling my late sister's remains, which was stated that we only wanted my sister's remains to be cremated, Fukui staff persons tried to sell us additional services which we did ask for or made inquiries about.
Fukui may be a long standing business for over 100 years, but the way they handled my sister's final journey was less than exemplary.
