The company advertises a monthly fee. The fact that they bill annually is only in the fine print. They advertise a free service but finding that option is like an online scavenger ****. I accidentally hit pay just as I noticed how much the charge was. I messaged customer service with minutes and they are refusing a refund.

Today, September 5 2024, I attempted to renew my QR Code subscription from Bitly's website, *********************************. I thought I was purchasing a plan that was $10 a month, but was not informed that this would be billed annually. I reached out to their customer support and was told that the annual billing and no refund policy was outlined in the Terms and Conditions. They made no efforts to resolve the problem and kept reiterating that it was in the terms and conditions. This feels predatory, as the price that was advertised was roughly $10 and I was charged $119.88.

Hello,I emailed Bitly (QR code generator pro support) asking to cancel my account as it had not worked out as I thought it would and the code did not work for some people. I was advised by ***** on May 5, 2024 that I was being credited as a gesture of good will. I however never received the payment back to my card. I tried several times to communicate with customer service which would not assist me in this process.

I signed up for the $9.99/month plan but was billed for the full year at $119. They did not make it easily known that I would be billed annually. When I went to request a refund, they said I would not receive one even though I cancelled my subscription immediately.

Literally hundreds of phishing complaints containing bitly's addresses sent to their abuse address. Nothing done whatsoever. I am receiving several of these daily, for years. Links to Russian **** scam site. Bitly ignores these because it's either too expensive to remediate or they do not know how to stop it. I am sick of receiving these - but since bitly does nothing, scammers use their product as an attack vector to compromised email addresses. My email address was a victim of a 2016 data breach. I'm ***** and I'm hoping to find a nearby guy who is sweet . I want bitly to filter these scammers - not just for me but for everyone else that receives them. - exanple from this morning: "Are you fun Let's match on the dating website and find out! I'm ready for you here **********************"

I was on a trial of QR Code Generator powered by Bitly (******************************************). It was set to expire 3/14 so on 3/13 I purchased what I thought was a month long subscription. The price was advertised at ***** per month. I did not see that the price was billed annual. When I received confirmation of my purchase I saw that I was billed ******. I immediately tried to get refund or to get the payment switched to a monthly subscription. The website would not allow me to change the type of subscription or get a refund so I immediately messaged their customer service and received an email this morning 3/15/24 stating that I would not receive a refund due to their terms of service (************************************************). I immediately responded and told them that since I requested a refund during my "free trial" period I should still be able to get a refund since I had not received service yet, but they responded that no refunds would be issued. Their website **-Code-Generator.com is misleading and predatory. When you go to sign up after the free trial they only offer annual billing as opposed to the monthly price they show. They lock you into paying an astronomical price for something that should be charged monthly and told upfront. Many people online are very upset about the predatory practice by this company. They know you will be printing materials and leverage the fact that money is invested in their "free" ** codes. It is not clear that the ** code does not land on your website or the directed URL. They direct it through their own site for analytics and their own reporting. It is not clear that the ** code you generate in the free trial will no longer function if you do not buy the annual subscription. It is not clear that the ** code will automatically stop being able to be used because they are sending users through their own website with ads. It's a terrible experience for the user of the ** code and terrible experience for us as clients. What a shady way to do business.

I used this company a year ago and have not done any business with them since a year ago and paid for the services I used at the time. A year later I (today) I see a charge on my card. I logged into my account and my credit card is no where listed under payment methods. Its criminal that this company can save my card number somehow in their data base but remove it from my profile so that I think its been removed. The day I removed my card number I was no longer authorizing this company to charge it but they have gone against that. They rely on customers like myself who think they are paying for a year of service but get tricked into signing up for a membership and then maliciously store my card in file in secret so that if I forget about the membership they can charge my card at will without so much as an email reminding the subscription would renew or any kind of notification.

I erroneously created a second professional/paid login ($96/annual cost) for this link-redirect product because of an account sign in issue and have thus paid annual memberships for 2 separate professional/paid accounts ($96/annual + $348/annual), one of which the professional/paid features have never been used ($96/annual). Bitly company will not provide a refund for the erroneous duplicate account creation, despite that I have never used the professional/paid features, it is an obvious error if you look at the product usage. I requested to consolidate my accounts and to at least partially refund the duplicate account. The company refuses.

Deceptive business practices. Claim to offer free accounts but they do not.
