I wanted to review a criminal/private report of one individual. Upon searching for this report, it was advertised as $1.00 to view. Apparently, in paying this dollar and viewing, I signed up for a FORTY dollar monthly subscription for a site I would only ever use one time. I would never agree to this if it was stated clearly like they have claimed it is. The trial period is only TWO days and I received a recurring charge today for $40. Upon emailing and asking for a refund/account closure I was told I would have to print and sign a refund request (I dont have a printer). Looks like I will not be offered a refund unless I go out of my way to find a printer. Total scam and customer service was rude in both email and phone. I am honestly very upset and disheartened. My income card was stolen from me back in January of 2024 and they made an account through y'all under my information using my card number to purchase y'alls reports. On 4/13/24, I was looking for a criminal report on a person and found this site, Privatereports.com. They advertise it's a free report but then in the end it ask for $1. I purchased this 1 report and that is all. 2 days later I found they charged my Venmo Card $39.82 so I called them on 4/15/24. Found out I was tricked into a subscription so I cancelled it and asked for a refund. I was told to send in a refund request from I received from privatereports.com/refund. On 4/16/24, it was mailed out to:Infomatics LLC Attention: PrivateReports Customer Support ****************************************** ********************************************************************************** To date I have not received my refund. I was trying to look up my brother who was potentially in jail. And it brought me to this website and I assumed it was free. Then asked me for one dollar and I declined. And went to a different website . Somehow, I was charged without using their services and called up to cancel. They said I signed up for a free trial for $1 and then charged me $40. This website is a scam and try using fine print to force people to pay a $40 one time fee. No idea how they got my credit card infoBusiness response

I was going to use their service to find out about my neighbor who was in jail. It was $1.00 for the report. My bank flagged the payment as suspicious and payment did not go through and I never received the report. Today I check my account and there is a payment to them in the amount of *****. I call the company and am told I signed up for a subscription, which I did not. The customer service representative hung up on me the first time I called. The second time I was told I'd have to submit a refund request in writing. I want my ***** they stole out of my account.Business response

I was supposedly charged one dollar by this private reports company. I thought that it was only one dollar when I was trying out their service. Luckily I doubled checked by bank account, THEY CHARGED ME *****. I am very upset by this. I would have rather had not gone through with this service. I was charged ***** by privatereports.com and I have not nor plan to use this service in the future. When I was checking out their service it said I could pay one dollar for a trial. I did not know or it wasn't stated clearly that I would be charged in the future for anything. And while it may have said that it small print, my dollar amount didn't even go through at that time so why would I assume I now had a membership that would take money later on? The **** amount did not go through so I assumed it was over and nothing else would come of it. Then today I have ***** deducted from my account. When I called support I was told I had to print and send a form by mail. That seems very shady to me, bc not everyone has a printer and also why is it that I can contact the company by phone and email the company but I can't email a refund form? This does not seem legit and I feel as though they stole my money bc I have not even used their service 1 time. Thanks, **************Business response
