Federal Tax Law Group previously ******* Wealth Management contacted me claiming they can help me resolve my Federal Tax debt. They assured me they could get me relieved from that debt or reduce my ********** debt by ******** I submitted all paperwork and information as asked. They were aware I was already on a payment plan with the *** and claimed they could halt payments of ******* in order to pay them monthly payments of ******** They put me on a payment plan claiming while I make payments they will work on my case. This all started August 2020. In ***. **** my case manager ***** ***** sent me two options based on the info I submitted and claimed these two options were a definite fix for my tax debt. In August of 2021 when they received their last payment they claim those options were off the table due to my recent pays stubs showing overtime, etc. and they wouldn't be able to do anything but put me back on my previous installment agreement. I believe these people scammed me out of money to pay them for doing absolutely nothing. They were made aware that an installment agreement was not an option. They ******* me out of my money for something they never did. They entered all the information I sent the wrong and gave me nothing but excuses when I'd inquire about status. I requested a refund of at least 80% of what I paid and they refused. Being that services were not rendered and they scammed me I need help recovering the money I paid as now they have made my situation worse with the *** and now that they have been paid they do not care about my status with the IRS. Instead of dealing with Federal Tax Law Group I could have used that money to pay down my debt to the IRS. They claim the information given wasn't accurate but truth is they did not input my information correctly at the time of submission and waited until last payment to process anything which through off my circumstances at the time. ***** ****** ******* ******* ****** ********* and ****** *******Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/29) */ Hello *******, When you hired us, you had stated in our initial consultation that your gross income was $****, but when we went over your income a few months later and we were gathering substantiation to present your case to the IRS, it turned out your income was $****** a month which is much higher than what we had initially used to prequalify you for help. We did send you copies of your financials to review the income further to make sure there were no errors. The IRS programs are based on your actual income, expenses, and assets so large discrepancies in income will definitely change the programs available that you qualify for especially since you now have an extra $***** that the IRS feels you can use to pay back the debt. Unfortunately with the higher income figures, you wouldn't qualify for a settlement but there are other programs such as penalty abatement where we could still save you money. We would love to help you and discuss your other options and the potential outcome. We will reach out to to discuss those options and hopefully we can come to an agreement where everyone is happy. Thank you. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) You guys reached out to me claiming things can be done and provided 2 options in ***. after claiming you guys analyzed ALL OF MY INFO and reviewed everything I submitted. Had these items been submitted timely in *** my income would have been the same. You guys did NOTHING until you received my last payment in August. It was never explained to me not to do overtime and the IRS wpuld only be going off my two most recent pay stubs, which pushed my income up to the $****** before taxes. The 433 form had multiple errors as well. I am not going to miss out on money I could earn to take care of my family during this Covid-19 pandemic. I am due for a raise and I am not going to miss out on that increase just to make myself look uncollectible. Your company completely dropped the ball on my case. I offered up to receive 80% refund which in my eyes is fair being you guys did absolutely nothing to help me and put me right back in the situation I was in before I hired you. Let's not forget your company contacted me claiming you could do things to substantially reduce my debt and you guys did not provide that at all. I have my text message history with ***** ***** where he claimed I told him I was making $******* payments per month to the IRS, which is a false claim as I never told him anything like that. Had I been able to do that I wouldn't have had the need to hire you guys AT ALL. Bottom line services were not ******** and I request a ******* I refuse to do business with you further as this has caused me greater debt and for me to receive none of the things, ****** or ***** ************** they could do is unacceptable. The only way to work this out would be to give me back the 80% refund I requested and stop dancing around the fact that you guys did nothing and ******* my case. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/12/09) */ Hello *******, Your financial questionnaire from January shows your income as $****** a month. We attempted to negotiate with that information as your ******** were also high, but the IRS did not allow all expenses to be considered because at a certain point, they consider those ******** a ******* Your overtime was considered and factored out, the *** knows that overtime is not guaranteed and cannot be relied upon. We can always wait until your ******** do not reflect that overtime, however your income without the overtime factored in is still over the income you provided in the initial review of your case, which was $****. The IRS bases negotiations on provable income, expenses, and assets. We understand finances can change, but had your information matched what you provided in the beginning when we accepted your case, we would have been able to save you more money. We can still save you money with a penalty ********** as your debt with the *** has *********** a significant amount of penalties over the years that ******* ***** We can discuss those figures and if it makes sense to proceed , we can. If not, we can discuss ****** options but looking at the numbers, you would probably be saving more money through a penalty abatement then what you paid in fees. We can give you a call tomorrow and go over your options with you in detail so you can make an educated decision. At the end of the day, our goal is to provide you with the best possible outcome available and make sure you are happy. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2021/12/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) You response *********** what ***** ****** my case manager explained. He never processed anything to the IRS. Everything was being speculated. He even explained that I should ****** paystubs with me making less including overtime to prove my case. My income was correct at the time is was into question. Again, in January there were two options I was assured by email and phone call would be possible according to the information I submitted, yet even that info was entered INCORRECTLY, on the 433 form sent to me. Mind you, when you took my case it was Aug, 2020. I went through three different people just to get the payment schedule lined up. Info that was requested was submitted. Had you guys asked for paystubs and got on top of the processing and negotiations at that time my stubs would have reflected exactly what I specified. I wasn't assigned a case manager until after the first few payments were received, furthermore, I was told to take my time in gathering all my info, debts, and obligations which I complied with. The whole process was a complete waste of time. I reached out to the IRS myself to find that no one did anything on my behalf AND they already had programs in place for people with IRS debt during the covid-19 pandemic that would also help me save money and temporarily halt penalties while I work to pay them down. I DO NOT wish to have you guys do anything on my behalf as I am not satisfied with nothing being done on my case until you received the last payment. AGAIN, I didn't contact you for your business. YOU contacted me claiming to be able to provide a service that you did not provide even while assuring me after your analysis in Jan. there were certain to be two options and then when you received your last payment all of a sudden there is nothing that could have been done but me being back on the installment agreement I was on before you guys got involved and had me stop my payments to pay you. I am uncomfortable with your business practices and I don't wish to do any further business with Federal Tax Law Group. You say you want to do what u can to ensure I am happy, right? KINDLY REFUND MY MONEY so we can close all excuses and redirecting from the fact that you could not provide what was promised.
