            An awning made by carefree opened by itself while I was driving my campervan and caused damage. Carefree has not responded to a warranty claim in over a month. We cant even get ahold of someone over the phone.

            I have a Carefree of Colorado awning on my crossroads camper. One of the arms snapped while eating lunch during our last camping trip causing one side of the awning to collapse and completely destroy the entire arm assembly. It is only about a year old. It collapsed under its own weight. Called and used the prompts to reach the warranty department. Return caller stated that I needed to speak to the warranty department. Another voicemail has been left with no response. Searching online through complaints of the company, I saw 3-4 other reviews wirh pictures showing the rail that broke.theirs broke in the exact same spot. Clearly a design flaw. Giving a few more days to correct this clear design flaw and make it right before I escalate with a lawyer. The sheer disregard to respond to my concern is worth spending the money to make a point.
