              Date of transaction: 2/17/24 Customer spoke with GM at ******************, was quoted three hours to move a 1900 sq ft home to a new home 2 miles away. Spoke with GM ***** and customer biggest concern was ********************** all heavy objects and a treadmill. MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE stated they move treadmills all the time, and that was an easy move for MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE. 2/17/24 MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE spent hours over wrapping items to move. Unethical business practice to up charge for packing materials not needed and slow speed to charge the customer more than quoted. Customer started ********************** items on their own to speed up the process. MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE employees smoked in house, customer sent video, and GM tried to deny it. Broke many items, including the treadmill. GM stated if customer sent all pictures, make/model/SN number, they would refund. Customer sent all information via text and email to MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE. MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE then stopped all communication. Customer has a dispute of charges on their credit card to recuperate lost/broken items. MERIDIAN MOVING & STORAGE is unethical in their business practices and does not resolve issues with damaged/broken items they caused.

              This company is also located in southwest **. DO NOT CHOOSE this company. I had a very expensive mattress that was mishandled and completely wrecked by the mishandling of the mattress. It had a pillow top and with the mishandling of the movers -the pillow top collapsed inside the mattress. There was no way to right the situation and the mattress was not useable (it was lumpy beyond repair). Took pictures and sent to the Owner that day. Their response that happens when you move sometimes. What!?!? Who says that to their customer?? Did not take ownership of the mistake. I called my bank and Meridian quickly charged my account for the FULL Price. I was willing to pay half until the situation was resolved but they sneakily charged my card without my permission. These are shady people. Its a $3000 mattress and they thought $80 would be sufficient as a replacement. Isnt this why you have insurance as a company!?!? Meridian also tried to blame it on the manufacturer! Which had nothing to do with the collapse of the mattress. Since it was in perfect shape before the movers got ahold of it. Do yourself a favor DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! They are unethical and refuse to rectify an easy fix and file a claim with their insurance company. PAWFUL, DISAPPOINTING, and DISGUSTED in this company. I moved the 3rd week in June and it still has not been resolved. Do yourself a favor and a headache and keep scrolling to find a reputable moving company. If I could give Zero stars. I would.
