In 2020 I had a transmission installed by this shop go out while on vacation during the summer in ***** *******. The transmission was less than one year old. As a result of the transmission issue, I was stranded in another state, incurring hotel cost, interstate towing fees and rental car, and other fees in order to get my family and the truck back to Colorado Springs. When my truck was returned to this shop on the back of a tow truck, I paid more money to get it repaired by this shop in August of 2020. I was without a vehicle for about a week. Once again during the summer of 2021, almost exactly one year later the transmission failed. This left my family once again stranded in a different state in need of a completely new transmission and forced to rent a car for another week. This time I used a nationwide repair shop with a solid track record. The shop found and documented with pictures that old parts were installed on what was to be a newly built transmission. The only work done on the transmission was by this company. A component part had written on with a sharpie that read, SAVE. I have pictures and documents from the transmission shop stating that the failure was caused by installation issues. This is far beyond a mistake. Two transmissions in two years and to be left stranded twice in not acceptable. Every time I contact the shop to discuss this, I am told that the owner is out and will call me back, however, he never returns my calls. I request a reimbursement to me for the rebuild of the new transmission and car rental in refund of the monies paid by me. No amount of money can pay for the frustration that I felt both times this happened.
