    I used Hire A Helper to find these mover, I had used this service in 2021 with great results, this year the results were an absolute disaster and the moving company was completely unable to do a decent job. I received no cooperation from the moving company when I contacted them directly and Hire A Helper offered a very sorry form of compensation after denying my claim considering the scope of damages that were incurred by me. I have moved over 20 times as an adult and have NEVER had a loss of damage so catastrophic. I provided moving pads, requested 3 times for assistance in dismantling the piece of furniture to ensure it did not sustain damage, I was assured that that would be done as it was necessary to properly pack my moving truck. I was denied for "not providing pads & strapping" . The pads I provided were not used and I had to discard them after the truck was packed. An antique table was not dismantled as requested and items were subsequently stacked on top of it which resulted in the total destruction of the table. In addition, no strapping would have prevented the damage because it wasn't going to prevent the excessive weight on top of it. In addition, a 2-4 hour job turned into 8, I was stuck and had to pay in order to completely vacate my apartment. I had to photograph my apartment for the landlord and other than some empty boxes that needed to be put into the recycle bin the apartment was empty but 1 of my pieces of furniture was not on the truck when I arrived at my destination. I have no idea where it went, it wasn't inside the apartment, on the truck or in the yar (I had someone check for me). I unfortunately had something packed inside the table that was of significant value which cannot be replaced. I was completely taken by a group of crooks and have no way to truly resolve what occurred. I would hate for anyone else to experience anything like this and hope this is a warning for others.

    This customer tried to blackmail us with false accusations and failed to receive compensation because her story was all over the place. First of all, this job was a load only so the customer was responsible for providing moving blankets and tie downs considering she was driving from ** ** *** She did not provide any and luckily the guys took photos of the loading process clearly showing there were no pads available other than 1 small rug that she told them to use. Most of her "antique" furniture can clearly be seen in the photos as already damaged prior to our arrival. The truck was loaded very well and packed tight regardless. However, if you drive over 3000 miles with nothing properly protected with blankets, it's expected to have small dings here and there which we are not responsible for. We are only responsible for items damaged during our immediate care. Which in this case, as well as most, was none. This customer started off by saying we loaded terribly and wanted compensation for damages, photos prove otherwise. Then this customer stated that things were missing and we left items behind, but also sent in photos showing the place was empty once we were done loading meaning there was nothing left behind. It was obvious that this customer was going through something within their family so we are sorry to hear about that. However, trying to get money back for a move you didn't pay for, at the expense of diminishing our reputation is absolutely uncalled for. Don't use our service again & please stay safe, we wish you well.
