I contracted with Coastal Rescreens on March 6, 2023 to rescreen my lanai for a total cost of $550.00 Coastal Rescreen came and completed the work on April 18, 2023. After inspecting their work the next day, I called and asked for them to return because I was not satisfied with their work as their was major excess screen that needed to be trimmed off of the frame. Coastal responded and came back out 4/19/23 and did in fact trim some of the excess screen. However, while trimming the excess screen on one specific panel, they cut too close to the spline in the corner of the screen. The corner of the screen is now not held in place by the spline creating a hole allowing insects and lizards to enter my lanai. One should not be able to pull a corner of screen loose if it is held in place by the spline. No other section of screen panels have this issue. I contacted Coastal Rescreens about this issue. When I contacted Coastal Rescreens on 4/20/23 ***** verbally informed me that they would come back out and take care of the issue. She requested pictures of the area in question. Those pictures are included in this complaint and promptly sent to her with no response back from her. I contacted Coastal Rescreen via email (attached) on 4/30/23 and received a response on 5/1/23. In the email they are now claiming the screen is perfect and that the screen hole was caused by me pulling on the screen corner. Coastal Rescreens is now refusing to accept responsibility and also unwilling to return and make things right and redo the section of screen referenced in this complaint. One can clearly see in the pictures provided that the screen is not together and not held in place by the spline. I have attempted to work with this company to achieve resolution of this issue but am unsuccessful and the issue remains unresolved however they have payment in full. I am asking for your help to get the service for which they were contracted to do and paid in full *********** correctly. Thank you.
