On 11/29/2021, I placed a $1000 deposit on a Hyundai Santa Cruz, ********************, and was advised that the vehicle was due to be delivered to the dealership on 12/10/21. I didn't receive any information on 12/10, so I contacted the salesman at Hyundai of Central Florida and he advised that he had no information on the vehicle but would find on 12/13. On 12/13, I again contacted the salesman and he advised that he still had no information on the whereabouts of the vehicle I had purchased. On 12/13/21, I visited the dealership and was provided a printout that said the delivery date of the vehicle was now "TBD". The salesman checked with his manager, and they had no idea what that meant for a delivery timeframe. The salesman provided the customer service number for Hyundai to see if they had any information. I called the number and the rep there said they had no information on the vehicle and the dealer was the best source of info. I explained that the dealer sent me to them, and the customer service rep suggested I send an email to Hyundai, and they sent a link to use for that message. On 12/13/21, I sent the email to Hyundai as suggested, and on 12/14, they replied that, "the sale department at your local Hyundai dealership would be in the best position to help you with providing an estimated time of arrival for your vehicle". It seems I'm just getting a run-around between Hyundai and the dealership. I can't understand how a company doesn't track a $30,000+ asset and can't easily provide such information to a customer that PAID for that vehicle.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2021/12/22) */ Vehicle was delivered today, 12/22. Problem seems to be lack of communication between Hyundai and the dealership. Complaint can be closed.
