BDS Floors' advertising on company vehicles and in photographs of company vehicles appearing on its website, social media, and directory listings show the BBB Torch logo.  In some instances, these sites display the BBB logo on vehicles not belonging to BDS Floors.

This business is not BBB accredited and our policies prohibit such references.

In August 2023, BBB contacted the company regarding claims in its advertising.

Its website offers a "lifetime warranty'" for its "..vinyl, hardwood, and tile products.."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the term warranty in advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location or viewed on the advertiser’s website.  Any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.  When advertising lifetime warranties, the advertisement must clearly and conspicuously disclose its intended meaning of the term lifetime.  The business did not respond to BBB's request that it add the terms of its warranties wherever they are advertised.

Its website states "BDS Floors has been a pioneer in providing top-tier luxury vinyl plank flooring installation for our diverse clientele over the past sixty years."   The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. BBB requested that the business clarify how long the company has been in business, but did not receive a response.

Its advertising states the business is "licensed and insured."  Photos of company vehicles include the logo for the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) . The business did not provide written proof of current licensing and affiliation with the NWFA.  

A post at its Facebook page states the business offers a "Best Price Guarantee." Advertisements which set out company policy of matching or bettering competitors' prices may be used, provided that the offer clearly and conspicuously discloses fully any material and significant conditions which apply including, if applicable, what evidence a consumer must present to take advantage of the offer and the terms of the offer are not unrealistic or unreasonable for the consumer. The business did not respond to BBB request that it add these terms to its advertising.
