            Relocation for employer and hired ****************** to move our furniture from ** to **. ****************** hired a third party 1st Choice Movers. 1st Choice Movers moving truck leaked and damaged a lot of our family heirloom furniture. In addition, nearly all of our furniture was damaged during the move along with damage to the home. We reported this immediately to 1st Choice Movers and they took pictures of the damage and stated that they would notify ****************** about the damage and it would be taken care of. After not hearing back from 1st Choice Movers I contact them to see if they were going to fix the furniture. 1st Choice Movers hired a furniture repair company to fix our furniture. The person came and picked up one piece of furniture and stated that they had to fix it at their shop but the rest could be fixed at our home. A month went by and I have not heard from 1st Choice Movers or the furniture repair company. I filed a claim with ****************** to which they stated that they would not be paying me for all the damage because it wasn't filed with them at the time of the delivery. "To make it right" they sent a check for $1,729.00. Shortly after, I heard back from 1st Choice Movers. They claimed I was double dipping and they would not pay for the repairs to the one piece of furniture or damage in the furniture in the home. I explained I have sent several messages and called several times and had not gotten a response from him. Both ****************** and 1st Choice Movers have not had poor communication with me throughout the process. Neither company is willing to do the right thing and repair or pay for the damaged furniture. Both companies are pointing the finger at each other. I am just looking for someone to repair my furniture or pay to have it replaced. I have done my due diligence to try and have this taken care of and neither company will take ownership. Part of my reason for reporting this is so that it does not happen to anyone else.
