            We had them out to evaluate our roof as our dryer vent cleaner noticed damage. Hendrick sent out someone who supposedly evaluated the entire roof. We came to learn from our gutter cleaning company that there were several damaged areas that were much more serious than some missing shingles. Specifically, one area had failed plywood along with damaged shingles and underlayment, and it was a miracle that we did not have leaking in that area as it was directly above our electrical circuit box in our garage. The roof ridge on the second story also had damage that Hendrick crew missed. We brought it to the attention of the office manager who never even responded. Now we're skeptical that the work Hendrick did do could be shoddy work. Time will tell. We expect that when a roof is inspected for possible damage and repairs, it means the ENTIRE roof. Hendrick failed us. Hopefully the repairs they did do will not. As we had to engage another roofing company to complete the serious damage repairs, we lost time in having to wait several weeks during the time that the summer rainy season begins. Also, the shingles used by our new company matched almost 100%, where the ones used by Hendrick stuck out as they were clearly different. illing from Hendrick was a problem as well as they just quote a lump sum. How is a customer to know if the materials used were an accurate price or in fact what was used. They also overbilled on the hourly rate, but reduced that after challenged. This is the first time my husband, who has been in business for over 50 years, ever received a bill that didn't include itemization of materials and labor. It took several attempts to get an accurate accounting of the work and materials. Our message: Avoid at all costs. Not worth the trouble.

            Hello- we are very sorry this is your impression on our company. On 2/22/24 you contacted our company to give you a free repair quote to replace missing shingles. We did a routine visual inspection on 2/23/24 as asked for missing shingles and provided you a time and material quote which was not a lump sum quote. We were not asked to do a detailed inspection which would have included interior, exterior, photos, and a letter from the company about your roof. We will speak with the tech as to why a more thorough inspection was not done & charged for if he noticed more damage than just the missing shingles reported. As explained, the shingle color was discontinued, we color matched as best as possible, the same as the other roofer hired would have done. There would be nothing that we provided in workmanship that would fail as we only replaced missing shingles as requested. We were not asked to perform a leak repair as that would have added to the cost. After the repair was complete and an invoice was sent the customer reported 12 roof vents that needed to be addressed to our office manager and wanted a break down of the invoice to which we immediately responded that the home only had 2 vents and both were addressed by our company and a breakdown with photos were provided to the customer. At that time the customer had already called another company after hearing from her gutter company that they noticed more damage to her roof when they were doing their work. We were never notified that more repairs were needed at the address nor given the opportunity to see it. We did what we were contracted to do and provided a detailed labor and material break down to the customer, a small discount was given not because we agreed with their 30 minute time discrepancy but to move forward with the closing of the file to the companies benefit with the client. We wish the client the very best and did our best to satisfy the client with the small amount of work performed.

            Mr. H's response is factually incorrect on numerous instances not to mention downright insulting. Because of their incompetence, this matter has escalated to a much more serious level. We thank BBB for their attempt, but we will be taking this matter to a much higher level for resolution.
