I have been a patient there for over 2 years, failed medication prescriptions sent to my pharmacy, after numerous calls to office, no body ever returned my calls. Had to go to my primary care for the prescription. I was in ****** a week ago, with excruciating pain in my shoulders, called Naples Orthopedic to move my appointment from August 13 to an earlier date if possible, was told by receptionist ****** after consultation with staff, that I could be seen on August 8. @ 8:50 am. So I changed my flight and flew home early. On August 7 @ 2 pm, I received a call from ***** terminating my appointment for August 8 because the office failed to obtain the required referral approval in advance. I immediately went to my primary care and got a referral and brought it to manager ************* was rude and unapologetic, refusing to provide me the names of *** exactly failed to obtain my referral authorization. When I arrived August 8, I was charged $100 copay, after my x ray of my shoulders, I was told that I would NOT be seeing Dr. **** as previously discussed with ***** due to my excruciating pain. I was told that I was no longer a patient there and the police were summoned to remove me from the premises by ******* I filed a sworn statement of facts with them, and I am awaiting the incident report to take further action against Naples Orthopedic, including filing a formal complaint with BBB and consumers affairs. This is the most inhumane and insensitive treatment of a patient *** was simply trying to patronize a business because I am in severe pain and searching for help.****** is fearful of what exactly I may say about her and her staff to Dr. ***** she has only let me see the nurse practitioner the last few times I came to see Dr. ***** It was discussed with ****** on my phone call from ******* due to my excruciating pain, I only wanted to see a doctor *** may be performing a surgical procedure to help me.When I arrived Dr. **** was not even in the office.
