Eva the owner of affordable beach weddings provided me with zero services after I sent her $500 I did not sign a contract with her but I sent her a $500 payment thru ******. I have all the messages saying she was going to marry us and provide the music. The next day she messages me and says if you dont pay me 500 more dollars I'm not doing your wedding because you broke our contract?! I never signed my name on any contract never even seen a contract. Everything Eva said to me to send her the 500 was a lie. And now she is refusing to give me any service I paid for! Something that should be such a joyful time she has made a complete nightmare. This was our only money to use on our wedding and she stole it. This surely is illegal and she should be reprimanded and this should be known before anyone makes a mistake and sends her any money. I did not cancel my wedding day (Its January 28th) and I never asked for a refund I just told her I could handle the decorations and all I needed her for was the vows and music as I walked down the isle. And she messages back saying we can't come to an agreement so I'm going to keep your 500 and part ways as I do not give refunds!? The client agreed to a service for her wedding ceremony service. The agreement was that she pay $2000 for complete service such as arch setup, chairs, isle markings, photography, music, sand ceremony, coordinating and officiant. She paid a deposit of $500 to reserve these services. The reservation form she submitted has her agreement to the non refundable deposit. The invoice she paid also clearly stated no refund for deposit or cancellations. I tried to work with her since they didn’t have the funds to continue with the agreement of all services she reserved. I didn’t hold her responsible for the outstanding balance of the agreement but tried to offer her something less expensive. However she was not happy with anything I offered to do. After nasty texts messages from her I made the decision to step away from the relationship. I didn’t feel comfortable continuing business with her due to the horrible name calling. The person that officiates anyone’s wedding should be someone special to you and should never be done under hard feelings or a very bad relationship. Even with my offer to do the officiating, she still wanted a partial refund. I hate that the relationship went so bad. But sometimes you can’t please people like this. Her efforts to get a refund from the dispute were denied because she did know it was a no refund agreement.
