            Tried to help my disabled mother in law apply for a lease here. Park was very nice we were shown two units. Came back a few days later with the application and money and they said we must be trying to scam them and refused to take the application. ?? Even though we would have to pay for the application?? So idk how they think it's a scam. We also would not be living there it was only for my mother in law who is 57 and their community is 55+. They said they didn't believe she was a real person because we didn't drive her 10 hours to and from Pensacola to pick her up and deliver the application we worked with her over the phone to help her fill out her information like normal people. Glad we didn't bring her because they obviously didn't want her there. Just because she is homeless and living in a homeless shelter doesn't mean she's not a person. Refused to even run her application or give us a legitimate explanation as to why she was instantly denied. She is a very real person and if they would have just taken the application fee from us and ran her information they have would known that.

            I spoke with a couple stating that they were relatives of someone wanting to get approved to be in the park. I remember specifically asking them to please bring her back so I could verify her, they said that would not be a problem. When he(just one came back) came back I asked where she was, he said he was not going to drive 10 hours so I could verify who she was. He got a little combative, so I asked to see her application. However what this person is NOT telling the BBB is that on her application she put down that she smoked. At that time I told him we do not allow smokers in the park under ANY circumstances. He said, "even if she smoke outside," I said "no." He grabbed the application out of my hands and left out the door in a huff, calling me an *******, which I have on video surveillance if the BBB would like to see it. I actually have the entire conversation on video if the BBB wishes, I could send it to them.
            We have the right to screen potential residents in any way, that is in accordance with the law.
            We wish them all the best and hope they find suitable housing for their "Mother in law,"
