My family and I recently lost our dog to a stage 6 heart murmur. On Thursday April 7th, she started to take a turn for the worst and decided to bring her into union park Animal Hospital to figure out what our options were going to be. We had a walk in appointment at 10:30am which we showed up for. Dr. Well who was the doctor on duty that day seemed to be in a terrible mood. Right not he outside of the door to the room my mom, my dog, and myself were sitting in he loudly complained about the fact that the nurse took our file before someone who had an appointment. That was not our fault, we were fully prepared to wait but there was I guess a mistake on the nurses end. As Dr. Well's enters the room, you can tell he is in a terrible mood. He asked us why we were there and we tried to explain the heart murmur, the lump on her stomach, and her breathing. He instantly caught an attitude and stated that medication was suggested to us back in January of this year and we denied medication. we tried to explain that visit to him and he cut us off and started banging on the table saying but you knew about this obviously it's going to get worse, you knew this would happen and you did not want medication. In our defense we never denied medication we were trying to discuss it as a family due to going through this situation with another dog we had. Before he even examined our dog, he started to write down medications he wanted to give her but also noted that nothing we give her will be effective. We came in with the intention of putting her down so she wouldn't have to suffer and he wouldn't allow us to communicate anything to him. The nurse would had pink hair did not want to be in the room with him either! She tried to leave and he stoped her Dr. Well's was completely unprofessional, rude, and very disrespectful. Thanks to him our dog died the same day. someone like him should not be in this line of work.
