    Considered that a $23 car rental was too good to be true, but unfortunately I learned the hard way they're obviously making money via fraudulent insurance claims. First of all, was given a car with check engine light on and wires hanging out of driver side, but, accepted that it wasn't worth the time to pursue for a $23 <24 hour rental. Drove the car entirely without incident otherwise and was absolutely shocked and disgusted upon return that a nearly invisible to the naked eye wear and tear item (that would not have qualified in any way as "major damage" at an actual, legit rental agency) was classified as justification of demand for an insurance claim. To be clear: this dime-sized indentation was so insignificant I would never have noticed or documented upon initial exam and was even told to only concern myself with "major damage". Even asking several times what the criteria is for this designation and who gets to determine what warrants this level of extortion, I still haven't been provided with any documentation or description of what constitutes, to Economy Rent a Car, "major damage". I would love to have seen anything seemingly legit to justify the behavior and treatment by the team at *** location, but for (probably obvious) reasons, was not given the courtesy - or any courtesy. The rude, indifferent, and bizarrely accusatory conduct there was grotesque - they clearly pull this routine multiple times daily and are unphased by their appalling behavior.
