I wish I could give First Coast higher, because I did really like my caretaker. She was very kind and sweet the first couple of weeks she was there. If not for her great personality and excellent assistance with some house chores, I would be giving them 1 ?? b/c I nearly lost my life due to my caretaker “calling in sick” and no sub being sent, on a VERY IMPORTANT day, only a month into our contract. This is especially egregious b/c the owner, Chris, bragged incessantly about the perfect attendance & punctuality of her team. She sold me on her promise that the extra expense was worth it b/c 1st coast was absolutely the best & most reliable. I tweaked my budget to make it work. Then came the no-show on April 19, known in advance to be an essential date. This absence (IMHO Tantamount to negligence) caused very serious issues and began a 5 day chain reaction, that, by All Accounts, I’m lucky to have survived, but only after significant suffering and with great harm done to me personally and collateral damage* to family, friends, and neighbors, etc. *(physical, mental, emotional and financial harm). Upon request to appropriate people, I am happy to provide detail as to the contract, The importance of April 19: What that absence meant and what transpired in the following days. A few high level notes: 1)Earlier in the week I underwent 2 outpatient medical procedures Which left me with Slightly stronger than anticipated head and body aches along with (Hopefully temporary ) mild amnesia. My caretaker was there those days and very aware of & helpful with the situation 2)Due to an unrelated disability, I’m required to take 12 medications a day in a very regimented way, which is quite a challenge on any normal day. one of the main reasons I hired First Coast was to make sure RXs got ordered on time and taken at the right times and with the right water and food as needed 3) Companionship was key : I’m on disability & alone Grieving the Traumatic passing of my husband.
