My car was repo a couple days ago without any notice I have not heard from anyone in 6 months. I understand I was behind on payments but they dont even give me one last chance to make a payment before they sent a repo order out or tried to call me mail me a letter or anything.

Thank you for notifying us or Mr. ******** complaint.  We appreciate this opportunity to respond.

On December 15, 2022, ****************** borrowed $3,020.00.  His loan was due in full on January 14, 2022.  However, a review of Mr. ******** account reveals that he never submitted a payment.  *********** made numerous attempts to reach him, but ****************** was very uncooperative and had extremely limited communication with the company.   On May 15, 2023, the company mailed ****************** a notice explaining that he had failed to make his payment and therefore, his continued possession of his vehicle was at risk.  Still, ****************** did not submit a payment.  Finally, after exhausting all available means of trying to work with ******************, and not having received a payment in several months, on November 9, 2023, the company repossessed its collateral.

Notwithstanding the above, the company is a consumer focused lender and always tries to work with customers.  With that said, the company has agreed to settle Mr. ******** account and release the vehicle for a reduced amount and his signature on a release agreement.  *** office supervisor has relayed the companys offer and explained to ****************** that he must submit the reduced payments and sign the release agreement on or before November 28, 2023.

Thank you again for your assistance in this matter.

Select Management Resources, LLC sent me a letter dated 12/23/2022. The letter stated that my vehicle was sold by Loan **** LLC at auction and that I am *********** $816.68 due to the remaining overage. The letter stated to call phone number ************ and give them claim # ***-788623 to claim what I was owed. I did this and was told it could take ****** days to receive. It is now 08/20/2023 and when I call this number (which I have a lot) I am told that they do not see anything being done and that accounting is looking at my case and will reach out to me as soon as they know something. This has been the same thing being told to me for the last 4 months since the 120 days were up. They also say someone named ******* is someone who would know what's going on with the case and when I asked to be transferred it always goes to a voicemail and my message is never returned. I've never spoken to a ******* once and multiple people there have said to talk with her and transferred me.

On May 18, 2022 I took out a loan with LoanMax with parent company Select Management Resources for $4.500. We maid our 1st payment on June 9th for $570.23 via online app. On July 21st we made another payment for $1,221 via western union - the online app was down. The payment was never applied we had to call continuously and finally had the payment applied on August 31st (surprisingly to no one adding additional interest to the load because no payment was applied). Because of the lost payment the next payment was not made until Sept 1st for $1,854.42 and the an additional on on September 15th totally $3,888.62. According to the receipt attached dated September 15th even though we had made $3,888.62 in payments on a $4.500 loan the balance remaining was still $3,167.50. Astonished on how this could be we attempted to reach someone with no prevail. Until February my wife received an email with a settlement of $2400 she made one payment and no longer can reach Arodriquez from Select Mgt. Now I am receiving harassing calls from LoanMax stating if I dont make a payment they we repo our car. We have now paid $6,592.48. Account # ******************************************* Now they will not return any calls just text saying they will repose the car if we do not pay another payment. We have already paid well beyond and then some. If you will not answer you phone or take our calls and or respond to emails how to you think we can rectify. This company is fraud front to take what is not theirs. They are about to repose a car over $2,000 which is worth $30,000 and paid in full. They take your money and do not apply payment to raise the percentage rate so you can never possibly be out of debt with them. Again makes a settlement with me then harasses my husband but neither of us can get anyone to respond to us. They also stopped posting our receipts of payment and balance due on our online app. Once we got close to paying off the loan and the interest rate exploded.

Date of transaction: 5/10/2023 Amount of transaction: $4362.77 Claim number: 183-842711 The business sold my car at an auction on the above date due to repossession and the overage/refund from my owed amount is the amount listed above. The only explanation I get from them is that they don't have tracking information on the payment yet, but they have received the money from the sale of the car.

Thank you for notifying the ******* of Mr. ******* complaint. We appreciate this opportunity to respond.

On May 17,2022, Mr. ************ borrowed $4,525.00.  The terms, conditions and cost of the loan were fully explained to **************** by the *******s personnel, as well as on the loan documents as required by the Federal Truth in Lending Act.  Based on the monthly income and expense information that **************** entered on his application, the loans scheduled payment was within his ability to repay. At no time did **************** indicate that he was confused or did not understand the terms of the loan.

A review of Mr. ******* account reveals that he did not submit his payment as agreed and has had extremely limited communication with the *******.  Despite Mr.Fortins contentions, all payments were properly applied to his account.  On July 21, 2022, the ******* received a ************* payment that only referenced Sender: *****************************, telephone number ************.  The ******* could not locate a customer by that name (*****************************) or with that telephone number (************) in its records.  With that said, the ******* could not post the payment to a customers account.  The ******* tried to reach ********************** at the telephone number referenced in the *************, but was unsuccessful.  Finally, on August 17,2022, ********************** returned the telephone message and informed the ******* that the payment was for Mr. ******* account. Accordingly, the ******* posted the payment to Mr. ******* account, and backdated that payment to the day it was received (July 21, 2022).  Finally, the ******* has no record of offering **************** a settlement.

In closing, the ******* operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and has committed no wrongdoing.  Instead of paying his loan off in full when due, **************** has continually elected to submit the minimum amount needed to renew the contract.  Moreover,he has not submitted those renewal payments in a timely manner.  Most of the *******s customers pay off their loans in a short period of time which significantly reduces the amount of interest the borrower pays.  Nonetheless, the ******* is a customer focused lender and always tries to work with customers as opposed to repossessing a vehicle. Therefore, the ******* is willing to settle Mr. ******* account for a final payment of $500.00 and his signature on a settlement agreement.  The *******s Assistant General Counsel tried to reach ****************, but was unsuccessful. With that said, if **************** is interested in the offer, he should call ******* at ************, or the ************** where he obtained his loan at ************ by July 17, 2023.

Thank you again for your assistance with this matter and the opportunity to respond.

My vehicle was repossessed at the beginning of 2023. They gave me 7 days to pay loan in full plus towing, storage, and repossession fees. I owed them $1700 dollars, they wanted $3400 to get it back what is double what I owed them. Which is absurd. So towing, storage and fees were $1700 for 7 days. So they auctioned my car. I received a letter stating they auctioned the car for more than was owed. What a shock! They owe me $3525.72. I called right when I got the letter to confirm my information. They told me it would be around 30 days to receive my money owed. Its been over 90 days. I call 1 time a week and they now tell me the same thing every time, there is no update or scheduled date for my payment to be sent. Why not? What does that mean? They got double for what they were owed, in 7 days. I dont understand what could possibly take almost 120 days to write a check? I just want what is legally owed to me. Now!
