Hired movers cause $8000+ of damages due to contractual services they did not fulfill, negligence and didn't fulfill the services we paid $9000+ for. They flat out STEPPED ON my white chairs with their BLACK BOOTS... I've been emailing and calling them since NOVEMBER 2021 trying to resolve this patiently and amicably. ********* sort of replied, putting the blame on Ekomovers... Ekomovers hasn't replied in months... except to offer me $75 and tell me I'm a pain.1. Disassembly of furniture (we had to do it because there weren't enough crew guys to handle doing that as well)2. Not wrapping furniture as the contract says they would. They didn't and damaged almost every single piece of furniture because of it.3. Not providing a secure and safe moving truck. The truck sprung a leak and damaged a lot of boxes and items.4. Insufficient staffing for the job at hand.5. Unprofessional loading of hand carts. Because they were understaffed, they over loaded the handcarts causing boxes to fall repeatedly, and breakage to occur.6. Movers not walking through my entire house with me before starting the move so I could show them all that needed to be moved (as I wanted to ensure it would fit in the truck since I received zero reply about that when I gave an updated inventory - see below).7. Rough handling of boxes, including slamming them down, and ******** into walls and doorways (that they chipped entirely) causing damage to our brand new home and belongings.8. Movers refusing to speak to me, the paying party, and would try to only speak to my husband. Discriminatory against a woman.9. movers not wearing uniform, wearing pajama pants and towels on their heads.

We contracted Eko Movers ******* to move our furniture/appliances and personal effects from our home in ******** to *********, ******* on November 30, 2021. Eko Movers ******* arrived as scheduled, packed the truck with our belongings and departed our home in ******** several hours later. The following day we were contacted by the driver (from the hospital) who advised us that he had been in an accident in the moving truck. When we contacted Eko Movers shortly thereafter we were told that it was a minor fender ****** and that the truck was in their storage facility outside *******. When the truck arrived at our home in *********, on December 10, our belongings were in total disarray. Several pieces of brand new furniture were destroyed and nearly all of our furniture and appliances have some cosmetic damage. After obtaining a copy of the police report that was taken at the scene of the accident, we discovered that the truck had in fact overturned, landing on its side. According to the police report the driver was eating pizza when he lost control of the truck. The police report also indicates that the driver was not properly licensed. The contract indicates that Eko Movers provides $100,00 in *************** (in the event the truck gets in an accident) yet, despite numerous attempts, has failed to provide us with any information to file a claim.
