I had a compressor replaced through American Energy Heating & Air in June of ****************** more than $1600; just after I closed on my home. My heat pump was from 2019 so it was still under warranty. That compressor failed again in February 2023. When American Energy came out in February 2023 to confirm the compressor failed, they said the cause was likely an underlying electrical issue. They said they would be able to replace the compressor one additional time but that would be it. They also recommended a surge protector for the unit. I had an electrician come out who wasn't able to find any underlying electrical issue but he recommended a surge proctector for the entire house which I purchased.I continued to call American Energy to see when they would be able to replace the compressor again since it had been less than a year since it failed. I called them multiple times in early March, left multiple messages and they NEVER called me back to schedule a time to come back and fix the compressor.I would not recommend American Energy Heating & Air to anyone because of the way they treated me as a customer. I'm very disappointed in their integrity and ethics.

Dear **************, We understand your frustration regarding having a compressor fail. We did not install the **** system in your home. We came out to diagnose a problem and determined the compressor failed in the middle of summer. As you may remember, we worked very hard on your behalf to replace the compressor in a timely manner and stayed in constant contact with you providing the latest updates. You were very happy with our response time and communication throughout the process. Fast forward to the new compressor failing, again. We advised there may be an underlying cause and that is why we recommended a surge protector, and to have an electrician take a look in order to cover all the bases. We stated that if a surge protector was not installed we could no longer warranty the compressor. The last time we spoke; we discussed that the compressor was on back order and we were waiting for the part. My apologies that I have not reached since then with a current update. Our office staff has been out due to covid including myself. I hope you can understand these extenuating circumstances and the impact they've had on our daily operations. I'm sorry that it has delayed the installation of the new compressor. Gratefully, we are well and back to work.
