Don’t shop here, every time I go in there’s dead fish, I can’t speak for the animals however I will say i’ve seen some pretty bad reviews regarding their animals. They seem extremely neglected. I made a review about the bettas I seen In their store yesterday and they were in a waterfall tank all 3 looked extremely unhealthy fin rot is noticeable and i’m they look sick. one was face in the gravel at the corner and didn’t move another was just at the bottom not moving and the one in the middle looked like he had severe fin rot. The last time I was there they had 2 BIG fish (in separate tanks) floating at the top dead. The water looked so muggy as if they were they for days… Both tanks… and just a lot of other fish looked unhealthy tanks were dirty looked like no maintenance at all was done. With the review I left the owner replied with “When you actually come in store instead of leaving reviews for your friends, you can see the truth. We are open every day except for Monday. Have a blessed day.” I was at the store I have picture proof with time and date so I said “I was at the store yesterday to be exact. Got some ghost shrimp, 2 goldfish and a plant. This isn’t for any friends, people are posting the truth, I took those pictures at your store right before I left.. Funny thing about technology it tells you the time and date of when a picture is taken if you need proof, I got you, and if you don’t like it than that’s your problem, you’re the one that owns the pet store, full responsibility falls to you.” she replies with “When you actually come in store instead of leaving reviews for your friends, you can see the truth. The cameras in store show someone who loves our family getting two cichlids. The family talked about how my sons had grown. Might want to have your phone looked at for the correct date and time. We are open every day except for Monday. Have a blessed day.” Sad thing is I use to love this store till I realized she wants nothing but money. point blank.

I would not shop here. Animals are neglected. Walked in one morning to a dead rabbit. They don’t care about the animals especially the owner. She only cares about the money

Almost a year ago I purchased a young rat and a small temporary cage to go with it. I was not given a receipt, and simply signed an adoption form. That day, I contacted the store to ask about an exchange as the cage they'd sold me was broken and unusable. They told me they didn't do refunds on opened boxes due to 'buyers remorse', I explained that wasn't what I wanted and it wasn't buyers remorse as the item was defective. The owner was incredibly rude and demeaning the entire time, and told me 'oh well take it to the manufacturer' The manufacturer however, required a receipt ,which I was not given. I asked them for a re-print, and they refused saying they did not keep records of purchases. Odd for a business, but regardless I ended up just going through my bank for a refund. Not only that, but they improperly sexed their rats and had a breeding-age male rat mixed in among the female rat cage. Something I made them aware of , but ended up only getting blocked on facebook with no refund or resolution. I want to like Toads, but unfortunately, that experience has soured it. Toad needs to remove their 'no refund' clause as it's simply a blanket excuse to disrespect and escape accountability or responsibility for the things they sell.
