July 5, 2022.My husband and I use Shottenkirk in Burlington for our service needs on our 2019 ***** Silverado. Yesterday, just days after being serviced(once for oil another for transmission flush) we got an ABS message across the dash along with sounds from the left front wheel as well as slight jerking in the wheel. I called Shottenkirk back and spoke with *******************, the service manager, who told me to bring the truck by and he would run diagnostics. We got there and immediately were greeted with a sarcastic *******************. My husband explained to him what was going on with the wheel and the noises. **** ran his test and bragged about how good he was at his job and that the issue was a ABS Wheel sensor. HE went on to tell us that it was completely safe to drive that we could head down to the AutoZone and buy the part and replace it ourselves after we got done with our events for the day. We had our children in the car so my husband specifically asked, Are you sure its safe to drive? I dont want to be broke down on the side of the road with an 8,5, and 3 year old during a heat advisory.. **** Expressed that it was completely safe and there was no need to worry. We drove off to go swimming as we had planned. We didnt make it 25 miles down the road before we HAD to pull over because the steering wheel was jerking so bad. We got out and there was metal shavings all in the inner part of the wheel. We called the shop and expressed our concerns and spoke to ******************* AGAIN. When told that we were stranded on the side of the road the only thing we were told was to bring the truck back in and they would look at it. They did absolutely nothing about the fact that HE, the SERVICE MANAGER, told us we were NOT going to break down and sent us on our way. Absolutely nothing about the fact that because of HIS EXPERT OPINON AS THE SERVICE MANAGER we were indeed stranded in the middle of a heat advisory with a heat index of 108.July 6,2022 we spoke with ownership no respect
