  I received a letter from Sec of State they needed proof from insurance agency that my car was insured. I called Brimfield ins and talked to ***. I gave him the refrence # on the letter. He said no problem. I was on my way home from work 6-23-23 and was pulled over in Mackinaw, IL. I had ins card. Policeman said yes your insured but this plate is suspended. Car was impounded. The followin Monday morning I called phone # on sec of state letter they said give us proof of ins and we will clear the plate on car. Bring ins gave them proper info and car was cleated. The sec of state had no record of Brimfield ins contacting them when I got the letter. They forgot or did something wrong. I asked ***** * if the contacted SOS he said yes we have a verification # ******. This is the refrence number on the letter that I gave them. They also have made other mistakes and are too old to be selling insurance.

  Consumer called and stated the amount of the policy was $221.92 and acknowleges the out of pocket expenses cannot be pursued.

  Brimfield Insurance

  The auto in question was registered under a parent's name and the notice was not acted on in a timely matter. Once we got the information we needed we could not connect with the State of Illinois system. The State of Illinois has a very poor system of accepting the information. Once we got the reregistration number from the insured it took several times to log on to the states system. They will not accept phone calls and the only way to get information is through emails. The states emails were not getting sent to our system. We had to use an employee's private email to get our logon information.

   I am rejecting this response because:they are trying to lie their way out of this. I contacted them when I got the letter from the secretary of state in April and gave them the reference number. They forgot to provide proof of insurance so the registration was suspended. If the states computer system doesn't work as they claim how was I able to get the car released from impound first thing Monday morning once I called them and gave them the reference number again. I called the phone number on the letter. They had no information from Brimfield insurance prior to this
