These guys have ridiculous prices, I think they price gouging. They charge a full hour of travel time, when I live only 10 miles away. It's a 15 minute drive. They didn't want to give me the prices of materials. When I finally got a list I took it to the hardware store and got prices of the items. It came to $350, not the $1800 they are trying to charge me. They over charged me on labor, which they say they adjusted, but it didn't change the total of the bill. They have given a total price of $2600, on a job that should only have been about $1750.Business response

This gentleman agreed to our written Proposal to remove an existing shower stall, cut and cap the water lines while work was done, cut the existing concrete to allow access to the drain, frame the walls for the shower, install the new shower trim/valve and drain, check for leaks and clean up the area. The customer supplied the actual shower unit. Materials were ordered and a journeyman and an apprentice plumber were sent the site to begin work. Because two plumbers were able to finish the project in less time than planned, I reduced our Proposal price by nearly $1,000. Our material costs remained as expected in our Proposal. All materials used are high, professional quality and not purchased at a local box store. Also included in our expense was time for our plumbing estimator to work up the Proposal and time for an employee to pick up and deliver lumber (used for the framing) to the home. We are a union business so employees are professionally trained and have experience doing small projects like this. We do not Price Gouge. We have several experienced plumbers doing repair and service work in our local area and we are in high demand with many customers extremely happy and satisfied with the services we supply. Our employees are our biggest asset and we value our reputation as a small, family owned business providing excellent service.Customer response
