Ben Cassis of Dirt Cheap Concrete did not do my backyard project correctly at all. I gave him$1200 the first payment and $1000 for the second payment per our contract and out of good faith that he would complete my job. The $1000 payment was for form work and $1200 was a deposit. It is unfortunate that I can not upload picture here you that you can see the form work with old beat up wood, not intended for concrete work with lots of holes and gaps. I paid him for new lumber and he brought old wood. He never measured anything to make sure the framework was level. He did not do a professional job overall. Ben would come by my home and fast talk me out of money stating he needed an additional for this or that but would not be doing any work at my place. He had a dirt truck show up without prior notice given to me and then said he needed $800 for it. So he brought in dirt when my forms were still not right. Because he is a contractor and I've seen other work of his I was faithful that he would do the right thing. He assured that all the work would be perfect before the pouring of my concrete. He hounded me for money and would come over and do a half ass job then leave or send someone to do a half ass job. The pictures shown are a display of how unprofessional of a job Ben of Dirt Cheap Concrete did. He repeatedly said my backyard was ready to pour concrete on top of when the forms were bad and the dirt was not compact. When I told him my backyard was not ready for concrete and I wanted the job done correctly he refused and never showed back up to complete the job. It has been 3 weeks since I've heard from him. At this point I had to bring in a real professional to my project. The professionals have assured me that work from Ben of Dirt Cheap Concrete is beyond unprofessional and that I am lucky not to have let him pour my concrete or I'd be paying even more to get it demolished and corrected. I hate to even give one star!
