Please do yourself a favor and don’t buy anything from The Pool Center. We bought overpriced, low grade, damaging “Poolife Rapid Shock” from this business based on a water sample we provided them that permanently damaged the liner in our 1 year old pool with shock burns. We contacted the owner Ed who is extremely hard to get in touch with, and he made excuse after excuse and took no accountability for the damage. He stopped responding when we presented evidence after researching reviews of this product and consulting with several pool experts that it was indeed the shock his company sold us that caused the damage. Clearly the owner Ed has no integrity, and he takes no ownership for the damage his products cause. The quality of products this business provides is not guaranteed and can result in permanent damage. Terrible customer service and damaging products is what this business offers. I will absolutely never buy anything from The Pool Center again, and I will definitely warn others not to as well.

    Pool Center Response

Jason, as stated in the response to your Google review, the chemicals are indeed strong and need to be handled correctly. Neither shock nor salt causes liner burn in damage, but CYA (Stabilizer) does cause liner damage when poured directly into the pool and not in the skimmer. We cannot be responsible for mis-use of the product in the same way that C***** cannot be held responsible when bleach is mis-used on a color piece of clothing. We were respectful and responsive to your requests, spoke several times, and the owner of the company visited your property before you went on a trip. We gave you the answer but you did not like the truth. B*******, as well as P*** ****, stands behind their products and will defend them as necessary. It is unreasonable to ask us to replace an inground liner when we did not directly service the pool.

    Customer Response

In response to the pool centers response I have a couple of additional comments. 1. The owner did not state anything about the stabilizer being the cause of the burns in the liner once. 2. For the stabilizer the instructions were followed to a “T” which was to add it slowly through the skimmer. That is what I did so I am unsure how it would have caused the burn marks. 3. The only thing that was put directly in the pool was the rapid shock and the salt. 4. I did not ask for the pool center to cover the cost for a new liner. I asked for help such as giving us a new liner at cost instead of marking it up. That request was never given any consideration.
