We had a very negative experience with Platinum Restoration, and would not recommend using them under any circumstances. We believe he's in the business of taking advantage of his customers during a crisis situation. We contracted Platinum Restoration for mediation following flooding in our basement. After the work was performed our insurance adjuster advised us to wait to pay the balance due because he felt that the amount was too high. An independen t assessment ordered by the insurance company came back at a price that was $2500 lower than what Platinum was demanding. ***************, Platinum's owner, harassed us repeatedly for payment through texts and phone calls. When the assessment came back he refused to accept the amounted stated in the assessment, and threatened to put a lien on our building if we didn't pay him the amount he wanted.Work done was adequate but not what was promised - furniture was not put back, ruined flooring was not hauled away, and there was little to no mediation in the unfinished portion of our basement. Once we said we were not comfortable paying the full amount the crew cleared out without completing these tasks. Under legal advice we paid what *** was demanding. The insurance adjuster said he'd never had such a negative experience in his 20+ years, and is working to get this business off their list of approved companies.
