The worst experience I have ever had. From start to finish, there was little communication. It got to the point **** ( owner) banned me for communication with him and stated he would only speak to my husband. When we did speak, he treated me so poorly to the point I just cried. This is not how any busy should be ran especially when we pain over 120K to this company! We would randomly get bills that had no paper trail and when asked no one could give us a reason to why we were being charged a ridiculous amount other than it went over budget. Weve had countless issues from the remodel 3 years ago that were still trying to f Our windows have so much condensation that is now causing cracks in the drywall (we had all NEW windows installed during this remodel). We still do not own a single key to any door in our house because they are lost. Weve had to have a plumbing company come out multiple times for leaks and ventilation system. We also had an old toilet in our basement that no longer worked and one of the crew members pooped in it and it took us multiple requests for them to take it out because we obviously did not want to deal with that mess. So disrespectful. To this day, we continue to have issues and all we get is sorry no attempts to correct the poor work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    A. Morgan Construction, LLC Response

    01/17/2023

Good afternoon, We are writing in response to the accusations brought forth from *************************** on January 13, 2023. We strongly disagree with the points presented and will address each in kind. Our project managers, crew leaders, and owner had kept in constant communication throughout the process of this renovation. Most of the time our crew was present, ************** would be at the job site at least once, if not, multiple times per day at such point we would review progress. At no point did *******************************, our owner, ban any form of communication with ***************. This is completely false and borders upon being carelessly dishonest. We were always happy to review billing at any point during the construction. We also invited and met with the customers at our office to discuss the project, additional work requested and budget concerns. In regards to the window issues, we did receive notice from ************** within a few weeks of project completion regarding air leaking into two of the windows on the west end of the home. We immediately met with the customer and confirmed that to be true. At that time, we contacted the window manufacturer and they sent a service technician to address the problem. There was a secondary visit from the technician as well at which time the air leak issue was taken care of. During that second visit we met with the technician and homeowner on site to explain that there were several factors that lead to condensation on the windows. These include sharp drops or gains in outside temperature and differences in temperature from the interior to exterior of the glass. Humidity being produced inside, e.g., during cooking, when doing laundry or when showering is also a factor. All of these points bare no fault in the operation or installation of the new windows. In regards to the house key, throughout the renovation, we used an exterior lockbox located on the exterior handle of the front door. At the completion of the project, the lockbox was removed and the keys were given to the customer. In regards to the toilet in the basement, one of our workers did, unfortunately mistake the toilet for being operational and this was not the case. We cleaned and removed the toilet and offered our sincere apologies. The worker in question was reprimanded and, at this point, is no longer with us. Finally, in regards to Mrs. ****** final comment, we are not aware of a single instance where an issue had been communicated via phone call, text, or email that had not been addressed. It wasnt until our owner read a despairing comment on social media that we were aware of any further dissatisfaction. Our owner immediately contacted the customer to review any issues that we would be responsible for. In conclusion, A Morgan Construction has built a successful and growing business based upon communication, quality, and commitment to our customers. We are hopeful that our response has addressed any concerns and are happy to answer any further questions or provide any additional information.
