              on August first i dropped of a packet to have filled out. this is my second time they have had this packet. first time mistakes were made and that's understandable. The second time it was left with special instructions. these instructions were not followed. i showed up on the 14th for appointment. the nurse comes in and tells me that it will not be done until tomorrow ill call you when its complete. i said to her you have had it for 12 days. the doctor told me verbally on the phone that you would be working on it and would call me before this date. she didn't respond when i told her what i said. so, i ended up walking out of my appt. so, i it would been a Tuesday to pick it up. if i waited till the next day. i call their office left a message and no call back. packet this packet was for a prior event which i wasn't even seeing the doctor I'm seeing now for this info for this packet. so i left 16 messages on my chart to try to get my packet. so i returned to see and office manager on Thursday . she said that since i walked out if wasn't filled out. that's not what i was told by her nurse.. now every time I'm in there I'm in there i see another doctor. any dr could fill it out. they also were supposed to send a referral to the cardiologist a month ago which they still have not called me. so it must of never been sent. she also threatened me they are the only renal doctors who can handle my situation. the doctor calls me personally and tells me its ready. went to pick it up and some nurse and some woman who works the window tells me its locked up in the managers office. ask if i can wait or come back. i told them no walked away. soon as i got to the elevator they called me tell me they had it. but it was locked in the manager's office and it was still filled out wrong even with special instructions. this is the worst office management i have ever......... i sit there and watch the nurse play on her phone instead of doing my paperwork thinks she owns you and your time!

              My mom went to the emergency room with low blood pressure and afib and ended up having to stay for four days. She sat on a bed in the hallway in the ER for 7 hours before being transferred to observation. Then she was sent to the cardiac unit for another three days. During the time, she stayed in the same outfit she arrived in and only got to change when my sister was able to bring her some clothes on day 3. My sister had to help her wash up and change, as the nurses didn't do it. My mother called several times for nurses who never came. Breakfast and lunch trays were left in the room and the floor was filthy and never even swept. When she was able to sit up in a chair, she was left there until 9pm despite numerous attempts to call nurses. When it came time to discharge her, there was a ton of confusion. Three different people gave different information. First they were just discharging her, then she was supposed to go to a rehab hospital, then it was just getting set up with home health. I had to call the social work department myself and got bounced from the switchboard to the nurses station, to mom's room, then back to the nurse and finally to social worker where I left a message. Finally someone was able to tell me when she was being discharged and that it was just home health, not rehab hospital. Mom had to take out her own catheter before being discharged. I know this is not the Hilton, but could the nurses actually come when a patient calls so someone who can barely walk doesn't have to try and get around her room precariously on her own just to use the bathroom? And patients have to remove their own medical appliances? I do want to say that some of the doctors and nurses int he ER were great. But floor staff leaves a lot to be desired.
