I contacted Land L tree services on 2/25/24 for a tree removal. Once they came out and gave a quote, he stated they could start right away. After speaking with ***** she sent sent an invoice for a deposit. The deposit was paid and they started the job on 2/26/24. Each day I was told that they would finish the following day. My neighbor informed me that they were sleeping on my porch so my spouse visited our home to verify. The crew member told my spouse that the worker was worn out because the tree had almost fallen on him. At some point they requested $300 more for a dumping fee that he said he did not put into the payment. I paid $300 more and the city came out to dump the tree instead of them removing the debris. I tried contacting the owner and his wife because they said they would come back and never returned, but no one answered or called back. I have filed a dispute with my card company because the tree is still standing and the debris covers my front lawn.Initial Complaint

I paid for my service in late June and services are not done as of August 12, 2023. When he does answers my call he says he will come that day or the next and don't show up or he's working on his equipment or he have to do someone else's property because there is a deadline. I text and call. He ignores my calls to the point I used my son's phone and he picks up says he will come but doesn't show up. I just want the job completed since I already paid for it. He was supposed to cut down dead pine tree, cut branches that hangs over my line and haul away. As of now, the job is not complete. It's going on 3 months. The first time he came he just did two branches and his equipment broke. I did a partial payment but he had me pay more because of that. He put thoes branches to the road and said he was coming back to haul that away, never did. The city ended up picking it up. Then he still try to get money out of me by saying the other tree bad and he can do it for this and I can make payments. He didn't even complete his first job I paid for.Customer response

Services for tree removal started around November of 2022. We got a quote from them to remove two trees leave the stumps and haul away the debris. Project was started got one tree mostly finished. Trashing my yard which was semi expected bc they were not done ( figuring they would clean up when they finished) that was not the case though. They left water bottle all over, batteries, didn't Rake, nor actually take any debris if I remember correctly the city picked up the majority of the small stuff and my mother payed some one to come take the big tree prices. They started coming up with every excuse in the book to get all the money out of us. Unfortunately we did end up paying them the full amount before the job was done. Of course after that they made no effort to finish the job. I messaged them atleast twice a month about finishing the job it would either be some excuse or a we will be there this week or soon and never show. I have made several attempts myself to get this job finished and it has come to me deciding to go this route because I did get quotes to see about finishing the project and if it comes to that I want my deposit back because otherwise I'm still coming out of pocket another $300 - 500. So I would prefer them to finish the job they stated so I do not have to fight with this anymore or I will want my deposit back.Initial Complaint

Paid $600.00 to cut trees and skyline the ones by my neighbor's house. They constantly put me off, until I requested a refund. They showed up and did half of the job I paid them to do. I have contacted them and was told next week. It has been close to a month, and they still haven't showed up.Business response

We have had issues with employment. We will contact Mr. ****** personally when we get to the office tomorrow morning and make arrangements to promptly handle any issue he has. We understand he has been very patient and will make it right with him however necessary and as prompt as possible.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have not received any contact from this business. At this point, I do not wish for this business to return to my property. Please refund me half of the purchase amount of $600 which would be $300.

LNL tree service was hired on October 3 to cut two trees down in my backyard and I gave him a deposit he started a job in October and four months later the trees are still not cut. Also, he tore my fence down and never put it back. His equipment started breaking on the job and he need money to get it fixed so his foreman asked me for more money for advancements. He received so many advanced he nearly got all the money for jobs.Initial Complaint

7/2022-11/2022 We paid Toby and April over 15,000.00 for a large tree job. They came out multiple times and assured us the job wasn’t too big. Told us they’d start the next week (July) when they didn’t show we messaged them and was told their equipment was “stuck” at another job site because of the rain. It rained for another week, after that we contacted them again. They came out finally after 4 weeks cut down 4 large pine trees then vanished, leaving the trees and their mess in my yard and all over the street. After many many calls and text messages we finally got them to come back weeks later again. Only after we rented a dumpster and a bobcat to clean their mess. They cut a few more trees down with one of them falling on our shed and never telling us and left once again. They never answer texts or phone calls and disappear for weeks! They are very unprofessional! We got a text today saying they were taking their equipment and quitting because they couldn’t pay their workers leaving my yard, the street and my neighbors yard a disaster!! Now after paying them thousands we’re left to clean up their mess once again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and run!Initial Complaint

Toby ********* came by my sister's home to give quote on how much it would be to cut and remove tree that had fallen by her home from bad weather. I than asked him to check the tree by my home that was cracking the side walk making it unsafe when people visit because they would trip from it being uneven. he (Toby) called and told me Monday, May 23, 2022 that it would be $1800.00 to cut entire tree, grind stomp and remove from property. His crew came Tuesday after 10 a.m. that morning and started. Only two guys stayed to start job. Around 2;30 p.m. Costa ********* came knocking at door asking for check to get truck to remove debris. Not thinking because I was attending to my two grand kids I paid him without noticing job wasn't complete. I called Toby several times and he kept saying he was coming to complete job. My brother Brian called Toby also and was told by Toby they was on their way. These calls continue until 7:30 which Toby stop answering his phone. I called several times this morning, May 25, 2022 and he's still not answering. I would like them to complete their job. They left their equipment here like they was coming back and even left the road with debris where people can't pass on this street.Initial Complaint

I Paid L and L tree service in full ($7000) in full on 11/24/21 to take down 3 trees and grind stumps. They have never come back to finish the job and grind the stumps. Today is 5/4/22. It has been 6 months. They have repeatedly said they were coming but never show up. They stopped answering our phone calls.
