    First off our sales lady Laurie was amazing however Bear creek after getting our down payment was not. Between it taking months to get a home that was on the lot to getting people to contact us back here we are 9 months after getting the home and still have things wrong with it. I honestly can not believe that a manufacturer would let a home come off the line with the issues we have had. Bear creek has not been the easiest to deal with either I feel like we just keep going around in circles I was hoping that this would all be worked out by now. We have spots in the flooring throughout our house from nails and a water leak from the plumbing not being set up right. Our carpet and wall in master got wet from this leak. The ceilings you can see the poor job of taping and floating throughout the house. There is a leak in the guest bathroom. Not to mention the outside is missing siding and pieces. That is not all just some of the things.

    I will respond to this in the order in which it was received. First: I am happy that Laurie did a good job, Thanks. Second: The downpayment goes to the lender, so we have no reason to stop pushing the deal through at that point. The longer it takes for us to get done, the longer it takes for us to get paid for the whole file. According to my records (I tried to upload supporting docs, but it won't let me upload them here) After clearing lots of conditions due to divorce proceedings for both borrowers we closed on the loan 1/28/23. During this time there was a funding condition that a loan for the ex-wife had to be refinanced or paid off before funding of the loan. We cannot deliver a home with an outstanding funding condition that is outside our control. Basically, if we deliver the home and the ex wife refuses to refinance the old loan, we would be owed the loan amount with no way to recover the funds we spent to deliver and set the new home. Even with this condition we were able to set the home on 3-3-23 which was only 33 days and being that is the wet season, that could have played a part in the delay as well. As far as Bear Creek not being easy to deal with... When a service issue is turned into us we have to get approval from the manufacturer, to allow us to send our service guy to fix what we can. We try to get him on anything we can to speed up the process, but he is limited to what he can do and what the factory will allow him to do. This is a quick rundown on what has been done so far. According to the service report from the factory. I have these records if needed. 4/4/2023 Outdoor electric was not working. We sent an electrician to fix it same day. 4/7/2023 Loose wallboards and trim due to transit Fixed same day (this was more than likely during the trim out process since it shows same day) 4/12/23 leak under master bathroom sink. Tightened loose fitting same day. 4/21/23 reported electric outlet in guest bath not working. Repaired on 4/20/23 this shows up this way in the report because we sent someone to fix it same day but didn't send to the factory for approval until the next day. We don't wait on approval for electric or water leaks. 4/25/23 Master tub not getting hot water. Replaced anti scald valve on 4/25/2023 this was reported by customer on 4/18/2023 but had to order the part. We reported to factory on the day we fixed it. 5/08/23 Customer reported that outlet in kitchen not secure, small hole in bedroom 3, M. Bathroom vanity is swelled due to water leak, Carpet got wet and wants it checked for damages, Nails coming up through carpet, issues with 2 can lights in living room, formica in kitchen uneven, window screens missing, ceiling cracks in Living room, dark spots in ceiling, nail coming up under lino ( no issue found upon inspection.) Ceiling crack in M. Bathroom, screws stripped on door vent, pantry wall has peeled paper, lino in M. Bath bubbled up, broken trim on cabinet in kitchen. All repaired by factory on 8/8/23 7/24/23 Wallboards damaged in M bath, Guest bath and guest bedrooms, Repaired 7/24/23 9/25/23 Back door not closing properly, Gap between wallboards in guest bathroom, previously repaired ceiling crack texture does not match, nails working up from transit, attic access door is dirty, air vents are not flush, kitchen and m. bathroom cabinets missing trim, wood is split underneath kitchen cabinet, kitchen island is not flush or bubbled up, Pantry wall has missing paper ( previous work order had to get rewrite for parts) stress crack in wall panel M bedroom, All were repaired by factory on 10/23/23. 12/08/23 piece of siding missing between den windows, siding is wavy on exterior, kickplate under vanity in M. Bathroom. I just spoke to the factory and they will be there next Thursday or Friday 1/ 11/24 or 1/12/24. Please understand that Bear Creek can only fix certain things and we have to get approval for those things from the builder. We don't have any reason not to fix the issues with your home, but sometimes we just don't have the personnel that is skilled to fix things such as cabinets, counter tops and lino flooring. Even though we want these things fixed asap, it don't make sense to send our guys out to fix stuff we know they can't fix. This would only make the problem worse. I will be calling the customer today to make sure they know the factory does have someone scheduled to come out next week. I hope that we can get them resolved and make them happy.
