I had my son in October of 2021. I had insurance on myself through the school district I work for (UMR), and my husband had insurance through his work (BCBSLA). I asked Thibodaux Regional multiple times to make sure both companies were billed to find out who would be covering the charges. It got to a point where a collection agency contacted me because they took the account over. Neither of the insurance companies would cover the birth of my son, and both would tell me to contact the other insurance agency. Every time Thibodaux Regional contacted me, they had kept contacting one insurance instead of the other. Then as time passed and more phone calls were made, both insurance companies refused to cover the birth because too much time had passed. I never received contact from Thibodaux regional and when I would get on the phone with someone, they would transfer me to some number where I would leave a voicemail and never heard anything back. Theyre still expecting a $1700 payment to this day without explanation or contact. My son is 2 and a half years old, and this is still ongoing. Every time the debt agency calls, I let them know that I keep getting ignored by Thibodaux Regional. I am beyond frustrated and over the situation. Im an educator with two young kids, and just want this resolved and off of my plate. For reference, I paid money prior to having my son. I will attach documentation when I actually hear from a representative and they pull up all of my records of times I have contacted them. They also need to contact the collection agency so my representative can explain to them how much I have updated her about the situation.Customer response

I have been trying for over a year to get Thibodaux Regional Health ******** **** to remove my name from billing involving my son ****************************. He has also requested this to take place multiple times over the last few years, this has included over the phone and in person with no resolution. At this time, they have now sent a bill to a debt collections (Southern **************** **** under my name instead of **************************** born 4/1/99 and have me listed me as the responsible party. He has his own insurance since he was 19 and was dropped from my insurance. any assistance would be great.
