I had my truck towed to an auto shop for some noises the engine was making, the shop it was at couldn't fix it and suggested big chief, I had my truck taken to big chief where it sat for nearly a whole month because the mechanic couldn't figure out how to send pictures to the warranty company and never informed me or the warranty company of the issues. I personally had to send the pictures for the mechanic. The warranty company eventually processed the claim and had a new engine sent to the shop. The warranty company is reimbursing me for 19.2 hrs at 75 dollars an hr, which is the national average of what it cost and how long it takes to replace that specific part. The mechanic is charging me 30.2 hrs of labor at 125 dollars a hr. This is unfair and unethical in my opinion. Im 2 whole months without a vehicle at this point and can't afford to get it back.

I sent the pictures to the warranty company, but I didn't know it didn't go through until the company called me. That was the most of time truck sat. Now for the 30.2 which is a lie because I charged 22.7 hours at Pro Demand hourly rate guide for engine R&R and 4 hours of diagnostic at $125.00 which is the normal rate around here. Look at your receipt. They are using Alldata which is a step down from Mitchell. And he got his vehicle back on 5/26/22Customer Response

The truck sat for over a month. Not knowing is no excuse, the truck was in the care of the auto shop and they should've stayed on top of the work and stayed in contact with the warranty company for the amount of money I was charged for the repair. I've had this repair done before and it was 2000 dollars more than the first shop. I will not return to it and advise any in the area to avoid at all costs.
