I waited a while before I decided what I would write about SmartPak Equine, LLC. My horse had been on smartpak for several years. I spent over $200 a month for supplements from smartpak for my horse. I had him on the colic care routine which was about $100 a month alone, but it was supposed to help protect against colic and they (smartpak) would pay for colic surgery if your horse colicked it would pay up to $15,000 for surgery. It all sounds perfect. Makes you feel like your horse is protected. Well my horse died December 5 2022 from COLIC. By the time the equine dr arrived my horse was to far gone. The window to do surgery on a colicking horse is very small. I feel that this whole program is a false since of security against colic. My horse had never colicked before. The supplements was given to him religiously. All I was offered when I called was a refund for the last month and how sorry they were. I had ******** for almost 20 years. He was very special to me. I just want to make others aware that the smartpak colic care WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR HORSE and odds of getting to a place in time for surgery is slim to none Thank you for your time *****************************************

This whole situation must been so difficult and we at SmartPak are so sorry for ********'s loss of ********. Looks like we had spoken with her on 12/5/2022 and her feedback was that ******** should include vet appointments as well as colic surgery reimbursement. We understand and have passed along this feedback on the program. Our supplements are for supporting digestive issues but would not claim to prevent colic and again we can only imagine how difficult that must have been, we again are so sorry for your loss and if we can help in a anyway in the future, certainly let us know.
