This company has had my car for about 9 weeks I haven't had any updates on my vehicle I have to constantly call them in regards to updates on the vehicle the should be updating me on and personally I think it's very disrespectful for them to even allow a customer to not be contacted in regards to daily updates on a vehicle they have already paid $1000+ to have fixed I recently called in January of 2022 to see what was the hold up since they had it back in November 2021 and they told me they could get the car to act up in the way I described even though when I originally dropped my car off I gave them a very detailed explanation on what my car was doing why it was doing it and how they should go about fixing it my request was ignored and put to the side just so they could fix it in their own way and charge me more money. Please do not go here if you want your Car fixed they will take their time and your money

Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Parkville Response

    01/27/2022

This vehicle was brought in with an explanation that another shop (not affiliated with MileOne or Heritage) had diagnosed the vehicle and told tee customer that the vehicle needed a starter. Our Service Advisor recommended that our shop perform diagnostics on the vehicle prior to replacing the starter. Mr. ***** declined the authorization for diagnostics stating that he has already paid for them at another shop. The technician replaced the starter and the vehicle started and ran.
After the starter was replaced, the vehicle was brought back to the shop, it was determined that starter continued to engage while the vehicle was running. At that time, our technician diagnosed the issue as the TIMP failing to have the Bendix return after the vehicle start operation had been complete. The necessity to replace the TIMP was indicated and authorized. The vehicle now operates properly.
Had the diagnostics been authorized at the initial visit, the repairs would not have taken so long. As to the communication issue, the dealership reports, and phone records confirm that messages were left and responded to.
We certainly hope that Mr. ***** will consider remaining a customer with Heritage as once we were allowed to have our factory certified technicians properly diagnose the issue, it was promptly discovered and repaired.

This vehicle was brought in with an explanation that an independent shop (not affiliated with MileOne or Heritage) had diagnosed the vehicle and told the customer that the vehicle needed a starter. Our Service Advisor recommended that our shop perform diagnostics on the vehicle prior to replacing the starter. Mr. ***** declined the authorization for diagnostics stating that he has already paid for them at the other shop. The technician replaced the starter, a requested, and the vehicle started and ran.
After the starter was replaced, the vehicle was brought back to the shop, and at that point, it was determined that starter continued to engage while the vehicle was running. After finally receiving authorization, our technician diagnosed the issue as the TIMP failing and that allowed the Bendix remain in contact with the fly wheel after the vehicle start operation was complete. The necessity to replace the TIMP was indicated and authorized. The vehicle now operates properly.
Had the diagnostics been authorized at the initial visit, the repairs would not have taken so long. As to the communication issue, the dealership reports, and phone records confirm that messages were left and responded to.
After this complaint was filed, we learned that the independent shop had replaced the starter and within a week the vehicle bas back with the same issue that it had when it was presented to us.
We certainly hope that Mr. ***** will consider remaining a customer with Heritage as once we were allowed to have our factory certified technicians properly diagnose the issue, it was promptly discovered and repaired.
