This man inspected a home we purchased in Millsboro. The poor quality of the inspection will cause us to lose a significant amount of money on the home because he did not identify several significant structural issues that have cost a lot of money to repair, money that we will never recover. Had he identified even some of them, we would have either not purchased the home or offered signficicantly less money. The key items are: - The sunroom was sinking on the west side as the supports underneath that room were not originally installed properly. The “slant” in the floor was obvious as soon as you walked in the door - The wood on the back of the house, behind the original storage shed, and above the back deck, was rotted out and had to be replaced, with the shed being torn down to be able to do the work. The window on that end also had to be totally replaced. - - The roof leaked in several places, and the roof, which was replaced in 2007, was clearly a very inferior roof replacement. Many shingles were not even nailed down. - The hall bathroom had no sub-flooring. - Both the front and back decks had significant amounts of rotting wood, and the wood had to be replaced and the new decks painted.
