    The last time I went to the grooming salon at this location was October 2017. During that visit, there was an altercation that resulted in a stabbing in the fish aisle as i was attempting to pick up my dog. I was in my military uniform at the time. As a result, I was expected to aid in the situation. I was going to Bethesda at the time everyday, getting medboarded out over a significant amount of medical issues. For six years, I have been working with a therapist to address a multitude of traumas, to include becoming comfortable with attending this location again. Well, I have an autoimmune disease that is currently flaring up. I cannot drive far distances, as that could be potentially fatal for both me and other drivers, so I set up the grooming appointment for this location… for the first time in six years. My dog has hip dysplasia, but is in excellent health. She can’t just be chucked into a bath or tossed around without there being repercussions to it. I filled out the paperwork and included this on the check in form. I got a call from a groomer at the location, telling me that I need to take my dog to a vet and that they were cancelling my appointment. I explained that my dog sees a vet every month minimum and is in excellent health, still, i was told that apparently I’m neglecting my service dogs health, and that i need to take her to a vet. I stopped arguing, as i had decided to calm down from the insults and call the manager. I called the manager, and at first he began to justify turning my dog away over hip dysplasia. I then asked him if it was a good business practice to insult customers and insinuate that they are neglectful with veterinary care, over conditions that regularly occur in time. He explained that he would talk to the groomer who spoke to me, in probably the least confident way i have ever heard someone make a statement about an action. Im not at all confident that the manager ever spoke to the groomer. Awful customer service
