Tasked to provide a sheet cake for a very special event. To my disappointment the moment I walked into the establishment on 903 South Main Street Hampstead MD I was made to feel out of place. It was clear my appearance was not consistent with the area. Staff reluctant to serve me as I waited patiently until finally one brave soul by the name of Mia approached the counter and asked what can they do for me. Mia offered me the email to the baker which I accepted. Because of the nervousness of Mia something made me check the email. Guess what it was incorrect . Mia nervously apologized and went to the back of the store to retrieve the corrected email address. That was probably the time to exit I probably could have left with my dignity. Two cakes totaled $234.98 paid in full. Instructed to send a picture and inscription I wanted on the cakes. Follow up emails went unanswered. Finally 14 days later acknowledgement from Ashley the baker assuring all was well the order would be ready for pick up on August26. I arrived for pick up a young man at the counter excused himself stating I will be right back. He never returned to the counter the sight of my husband and I disgusted him. Another flustered young man apologized for his rudely abrupt partner. cash is green. GREEN, the color of what makes the whole United States of America run and what every citizen works very hard for. Success of a business has no COLOR. Success comes from welcoming people that can make your business grow and your reputation precedes you. SNICKERDOODLES falls way below the scale of professional bakers. The writing was “New World Translation” the wording was deliberate and maliciously written shabbily incorrectly. The writing was amateurishly embarrassing. Staff was demeaning based on the difference of race, creed, and religion. Snickerdoodles on S Main St in Maryland would undoubtedly benefit from diversity training for all of its owners and employees.
