The doctors and nurses are great. The billing department is an absolute nightmare. I’ve paid for the same dates of service at least 3 or 4 times and each time I call they say “oh we have 2 different systems right now and it applied your payment to a different date of service.” One time they couldn’t find a $225 payment I made online and sent me another bill for $350. I would have gone through with my treatment here if it weren’t for the billing department. Horrible service, and the supervisors are never available to speak with. I just made my “last” payment again, but I’m sure I’ll receive another bill in the next month. Stay away and try to go to a smaller clinic in your town if you can!

after a year not one transfer. numerous mistakes and no compassion This is a scam i have depleted my savings as a hopeful and like any other hopeful i knew it wouldn’t be easy. but i I dreamed of completing my family and wanted to have a beautiful experience. After trying for the last 5 years with no hope. I turned to shady grove thinking i would finally be able to give my 8 year old who will be 9 a little brother. which we have promised her. I have done all that was asked of me on my dime went and paid for an mfm doctor to care for me during before and after i leave shady groves clinic at the request of this clinic. Sent over proof paid out of pocket for most things. Had me on ice at this from October 2022 until April 2023 because they were closed for holidays. told me i had a cyst and cancelled my retrieval based on the fact that they thought it was when it never actually was. Now my blood pressure after paying to get a real doctor to help with that still no help no communication no next steps. i had to transfer my records to another clinic who is willing to move forward after 1 month after I waited a year with shady grove. I am suing the doctors the nurses and everyone involved for the pain suffering and all missed work driving back and forth to their clinic paying for $25 for parking 5 days aweek court fees tolls and have proof of it all this clinic is a waste a scam they’re liars they never planned on transferring its all a big money scheme. Please don’t waste your money or time in the end you will end up heart broken and at this point I can’t even get them to fill out form for my new clinic they asked. they’re holding me up from moving on wont help me and wanna hold my embryos hostage. I will do everything possible to bring shady grove to its knees behind the lies they tell. my doctor at shady grove went out on maternity leave ?? go figure id be with them so long she had time to deliver twins and no transfer for me $7,000 co- pay not one transfer.Review from Cristina C

I was a patient at SGF for several years between 2018-2021. Unfortunately, the treatment there was not successful. I had a great experience with Dr. Levy. The rest of the experience was far from what one could consider good. If you want a facility that has top notch technology but zero individual attention SGF will work for you. I equate it to a factory like experience. I left in 2021 due to them no longer accepting my new employers insurance and after some very questionable billing practices. Here we are 2 years later and I have started receiving bills again from them with insurance adjustments from when I was a patient (insurance I haven’t had in 2 years). Keep in mind I was already issued a check previously from “over billing” and now somehow I owe that back and then some. I have reached out to their billing department 6 times now over 5 months requesting a manager to call me back since somehow there is never one available. My last call I was told my account was reviewed and the “manager” Angela T. said I owe it. No explanation no call back nothing. Angela was also the incompetent manager I dealt with when I was a patient because of the previous billing discrepancies. I’m STILL waiting for someone to call me back and will continue to exhaust all avenues until they do.Shady Grove Fertility Reproductive Science Center Response

This is primarily about billing practice and the department. I think the stress caused by SGF's (Arlington/Fairfax location) sometimes rude front desk staff (I think mostly the supervisor who may or may not be there anymore) AND the HORRIBLE experiences with the billing department actually made it harder to make a baby! The billing department in particular seemed to willfully try to help as little as possible AND would only demand pay now, pay now, pay now instead of working with us to resolve issues they said couldn't be resolved, that through my wife's hard work were resolved and proving SGFs intransigent, or incompetent, staff wrong. SGF staff offered NO help in resolving our issue. So disappointing and frustrating. I have honestly never been more angry with any company than I was with SGF... if your mission is to help people than employ people who want to help people! I will say the doctor was good and we have a very awesome little man to show for it but I think we worked harder for it than SGF who seemed to have worked against it at times. If we ever tried again it would NOT be here. I was so unhappy with their service I sometimes use SGF as a bad word. I would NEVER recommend them
