              I fell victim to a mystery shopper scam. I received what I thought was a legitimate cashier's check to pay for the shopping they wanted done. I deposited it at the bank, and it then cleared and went in the account. I then proceeded to buy the items requested for the mystery shopping. Next day I'm down 1200 because the check was fake. I agreed to pay the bank 250 a week till the losses were recouped. I could not cash the check anywhere else likely because they filed fraud charges on me. So, I had to deposit all of my check until the balance is paid. I understand that I have to pay it back but there not even giving me money for gas or food when they were the ones who prematurely cleared the check. Do I have any legal recourse. I did not know the check was fake and they have threatened criminal charges. I have never done anything illegal in my life. This is a horrible bank with bad policies. They should not clear checks before they know there well. Basic business.
