Worst, most surreal, shopping experience of my entire life. It started off great, but quickly turned sour. - Leased a new car on 12/2/23 -They had to restructure our original lease because apparently they can't do math (bad feature for a finance manager).- The restructure included a $2250 refund to us. - 12/5/23 signed the new deal. Was told they had to wait for the "sale to be funded" before they could release the check. Should only be a couple days and they would contact us.-12/18/23 -- called to check on what's happening. Was told they were still waiting for the deal to be funded. They would call us back within 3 hours. 6 hours later got a text saying they needed a lien release before they could release the check. I called the bank we had financed the car we traded in to request a new one, they said about 30 days. Went to the dealer, was told they needed that release. They tried to tell us they told us that (they never did). -2/5/24 -- finally got the lien release, hadn't heard anything from the dealer since 12/23. Went to the dealer, handed the finance manager the release, he disappeared looking for our check for 25 minutes. Finally returned and said "We got our own copy last Thursday and the check went out Friday. If you don't have it tomorrow, come back." Didn't receive check 2/6.2/7/24 -- Went back to the dealership. Waited over an hour to speak with the owner who was "selling a car to family." After over an hour, was told, "Turns out we didn't get the lien release, nor did we mail out your check. We have the original here. Go home, get the release and then we'll give your check."Finally got the check after having someone follow me to my house and swap the lien release for the check in a scene from a movie ("You have my check?" "Is that the lien release?" ). Horrible communication, horrible customer service.
